Two days after the Charlotte City Council approved a $231 million arena to keep their team in town, the Hornets crushed the Chicago Bulls, 113-91, to end a three-game home losing streak.
Lee Nailon scored 24 points and All-Star Baron Davis added 18 and 12 assists for Charlotte, which held a 61-43 edge at halftime and cruised thereafter.
Four others scored in double figures as the Hornets shot 55 percent (45-of-82) en route to their seventh straight home win against the hapless Bulls.

The Bulls have not beaten the Raptors since February 28, 1999.
"We just played horrible," said Ron Artest, who had 10 points for Chicago. "It was a tough loss. We just have to come out for our next game and play hard and put this game behind us."
"We weren't ready to play, and we didn't establish ourselves defensively, and on offense we didn't share the ball," said Bulls coach Bill Cartwright. "I won't call it being selfish, but I will call it trying to do too many things on our own."
Brad Miller and Eddie Robinson sat out the second half with injuries for Chicago. Miller left with a bruised left calf and Robinson, who had 14 points in 18 minutes, was sidelined with a left groin strain.
Miller was kicked in the calf in the second quarter and is day-to-day. According to Cartwright, Robinson may be out a bit longer.
Jamaal Magliore had his fifth double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for Charlotte, which held a 48-40 edge on the boards.
Elden Campbell scored 10 points and blocked six shots while George Lynch and Robert Traylor chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Hornets.
A.J. Guyton had 19 points as Chicago's bid for its first three-game winning streak of the season fell short.
Leading 32-28 after the first quarter, the Raptors started the second with a 7-0 burst to pull away for good. Nailon had four points in the run, including a dunk with 9:41 left that gave his team a 39-28 lead.
