ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 24 (Ticker) -- Mike Miller came up large when the Orlando Magic needed him most.

Miller shook off the flu and a 2-of-12 start to hit two 3-pointers in the final four minutes, including one to snap a late run, as the Magic ended the Miami Heat's season-high six-game winning streak, 92-87.

Orlando's Horace Grant broke a 76-76 tie with a jumper with 6:53 left, sparking a 10-1 run that was capped by a 3-pointer by Miller with 3:57 left.

Eddie Jones ended the run with a three-point play with 3:41 to go, Miami's first basket in 6 1/2 minutes. Alonzo Mourning had dunks on consecutive plays to cut the deficit to 86-84 with 1:39 left.

But after Tracy McGrady penetrated the lane, he dished to Miller, who sank a 3-pointer with 58 seconds left to make it 89-84.

Miami got within 90-87 on a short jumper by Jones with six seconds left, but Darrell Armstrong sank two free throws to ice the game.

"At halftime all the guys looked at me and said, `Let's go, we need some energy,'" Armstrong said. "It's my Hershey Kisses again. I've been taking them once again -- two Hershey Kisses at halftime, and man, did I come back in the third period. Man, I scared myself."

Armstrong was 9-of-9 from the line for Orlando, which shot just 63 percent (24-of-38) at the stripe. Armstrong finished with 18 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals.

"He got them going, had a couple of strips and a couple dunks," Miami coach Pat Riley said. "He gave them CPR is what he did. They were barely breathing there for a while, and we were playing extremely well and we just let the game go."

McGrady had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Orlando but was just 3-of-9 from the line and missed the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth after aggravating a back injury.

Troy Hudson also tallied 17 points for the Magic, who won their third straight game and fourth in five contests.

Jones scored 28 points and Mourning added 15 and 11 rebounds for the Heat, who outrebounded the Magic, 49-41, and outscored them in the paint, 32-22.

"They turned their energy up," Jones said. "You have to give them that. We have to get tougher than that. We had a lot of turnovers that killed us."

The Magic converted the Heat's 19 turnovers into 24 points.

Miami scored the first two baskets of the second half to take its biggest lead, 55-44. But Orlando went on a 19-7 run that was capped by the second of back-to-back steals and dunks by Armstrong with 2:09 left.

"That is Darrell Armstrong," Mourning said. "He pushes the ball full court and puts a lot of pressure on your defense. He got into the passing lanes and he is good at it."

"I've been here long enough to know how much energy he has," McGrady said. "He's definitely the head of this team when it comes to heart and hustle."

The Magic entered the fourth quarter ahead by 68-67.

"Everybody is upset," Jones said. "It is a game we had control of, being up 11 in the third. But we let them back in the game and they took advantage of us. We are upset."

The Heat scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 51-44 lead. Jones had 18 points to lead Miami at the break.

"I think Miami has done a terrific job of turning their spirit around," Orlando coach Doc Rivers said. "If you think about this team and their record in addition to what they have gone through and to win six in a row, the spirit is there and you don't see that often. They are going to be a thorn to everybody the rest of the season."

Miami outshot Orlando from the field, 43 percent (32-of-75) to 39 percent (30-of-77).

"We are a better team than they are," Mourning said. "I know that for a fact. We just shot ourselves in the foot tonight big time. Anytime you have control of a game like that and you are executing and stop doing it ... then that is on us."
