DALLAS, Jan. 10 (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks were well-rested this time.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points and Steve Nash chipped in 14 and 11 assists as the Mavericks pasted the New York Knicks, 111-89.

The victory gave Dallas a split of the season series and a measure of revenge following the team's last meeting. A week ago, Dallas entered Madison Square Garden with a nine-game winning streak but tired in the second half and lost for the 10th straight time in New York.

The Mavericks were playing for the second consecutive night in that contest but had played just once in the last four nights heading into Thursday's matchup.
