Atlanta pulled within six points with 9:18 remaining, but San Antonio finished with a 32-16 run. Duncan scored 10 points and Parker added nine during the stretch as the Spurs rolled to their sixth straight victory over the Hawks.
"It was just a case of us playing bad basketball for 10 minutes," Duncan said. "Once we settled down and began to play, the lead began to grow."
David Robinson and Antonio Daniels scored 14 points apiece and Steve Smith added 12 for the Spurs, who shot 51 percent (38-of-75) and made 11-of-22 3-pointers.
The injury-depleted Hawks never led and lost their 19th straight road game dating to February 18.
Jason Terry scored 13 points after missing two games with a strained hamstring and Toni Kukoc came back from a foot injury to score 13 as well.
However, Chris Crawford joined the never-ending list of injuries for Atlanta. He tore his ACL driving to the basket with 2:36 left in the second quarter and is done for the season.
The Hawks already are playing without All-Star center Theo Ratliff and forward Alan Henderson, who are on the injured list. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, the Hawks' leading scorer this season, sat out with a strained left knee.
"The team is banged up," Atlanta coach Lon Kruger said. "Others are going to need to step it up, even if they're hurt. We'll survive."
San Antonio took control with a 13-3 run in the second quarter, turning a 27-26 lead into an 11-point cushion. Robinson scored six points duuring the stretch and Terry Porter capped it with a three-pointer with 7:29 left in the first half.
The Spurs maintained a double-digit lead until Atlanta scored 10 straight points bridging the third and fourth quarters, closing within 78-72 on a pair of free throws by Dion Glover with 9:18 to go.
Glover scored half his 12 points during the spurt. Hanno Mottola had 14 points and six rebounds and Nazr Mohammed added 10 and nine for Atlanta.
The Hawks shot just 42 percent (32-of-76), including 4-of-13 from the arc, and recorded only 14 assists.
Despite each team grabbing nine offensive rebounds, the Spurs outscored Atlanta, 20-11, in second-chance points and 36-12 on the fast break.
