SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 26 (AP) -- Rashard Lewis scored 23 points and Gary Payton had 17 points, nine assists and six rebounds Friday night as the Seattle SuperSonics concluded the preseason with a 106-88 victory over the Sacramento Kings.


Payton scored 13 points in the third quarter as Seattle outscored the Kings 32-20 and built a 13-point lead. The Sonics (4-4) made 6-of-11 3-pointers in the period.

Desmond Mason had 16 points and nine rebounds for Seattle, which opens the regular season Tuesday at Sacramento.

Vladimir Radmanovic scored 12 points and Brent Barry had 11 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Kings. Doug Christie had 17 points and nine rebounds.

Bobby Jackson scored 14 points, Peja Stojokovic had 13 and Mike Bibby added 10 points and five assists.

The Kings (4-4) played without All-Star forward Chris Webber, who has a badly sprained ankle and could miss the first month of the regular season. Seattle's Vin Baker sat out the game with a lower back strain.
