Walker sank a pair of free throws and hit a jumper, and Milt Palacio connected on a three-point play to give Boston an 83-70 advantage.
The Celtics won without starting point guard Kenny Anderson, who didn't play because of a sore left knee. The New York native was on the bench in street clothes and wearing a New York Yankees hat.
Boston took a 44-30 lead with 5:25 left in the second quarter on Paul Pierce's layup, but the Cavs went on a 13-3 run to close out the half and trailed 47-43 at the break.
Jumaine Jones led Cleveland with 20 points, and Wesley Person added 17 points. Lamond Murray scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Pierce, Palacio and Mark Blount each scored 12 for Boston.
