LaPhonso Ellis added 14 points, and Kendall Gill and Sam Mack each scored 13 for Miami, which completed exhibition play 2-5. The Heat will open the regular season Oct. 31 against Toronto.

Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 22 points and 12 rebounds in 29 minutes. San Antonio (4-2) has two preseason games left, against Philadelphia on Wednesday night and Houston on Friday night.

The Heat played without Rod Strickland, who officially signed with the team Tuesday. He will practice Wednesday.

Miami nearly squandered the game away down the stretch. After Amal McCaskill's tip-in pulled the Spurs to 90-88, House missed a pair of free throws with 8.9 seconds left.

However, San Antonio couldn't get a shot off in the final seconds as Tony Parker lost the ball on a drive.
