DALLAS, Oct. 23 (AP) -- Adrian Griffin scored 22 points and Danny Manning added 16 to help the Dallas Mavericks beat the Orlando Magic 113-104 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.

Steve Nash added 15 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 14 as the Mavericks completed the preseason 5-3.

Grant Hill led the Magic (3-4) with 27 points. Tracy McGrady did not play because of a sore lower back.

Orlando opened the third quarter with a 13-2 run to take a 67-64 lead, but the Mavericks closed the quarter with a 6-0 surge to take an 85-82 advantage into the final period.

Dallas opened the fourth with a 12-4 spurt, capped by Griffin's three-point play, to stretch the lead to 97-86 with 6:27 left.

Mavericks coach Don Nelson was ejected with 8:14 remaining in the third quarter after picking up two technicals.
