INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 13 (AP) -- Ron Mercer scored 14 points, A.J. Guyton added 11 as the Chicago Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 86-81 in an exhibition game Saturday night.

Reggie Miller and Bruno Sundov each scored 13 points, and Al Harrington and Jeff Foster added 10 apiece for Indiana.

The Bulls used runs of 11-2 and 10-1 to build a 72-65 lead after three quarters. Indiana shot 6-for-18 from the field in the third.

There were 10 lead changes and eight ties in the first half as the Bulls built a one-point lead, 48-47, by the break. Miller scored 12 points in the first half.

Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal sprained his right wrist and cut his left elbow in the first quarter. He did not return.
