SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 13 (AP) -- Stephen Jackson and Bruce Bowen each scored 19 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 124-78 exhibition victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.

Charles Smith added 17 points and Amal McCaskill finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds in reserve roles for the Spurs.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics (2-1) with 16 points. Joseph Forte added 15.

San Antonio shot 55 percent, while Boston, which missed seven of its first eight field goal attempts, shot 27 percent and converted just 21 field goals.

The Spurs hit their first five field goal attempts and built a 12-point lead by halftime. San Antonio broke the game open with a 21-5 run in the third quarter.

Smith scored all of his points in the fourth quarter on 6-for-8 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Jackson scored eight points in the third period and 11 in the fourth.
