aREDMOND, Ore., Oct. 12 (AP) -- Damon Stoudamire scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half as the Portland Trail Blazers rallied to beat the Sacramento Kings 107-104 victory Friday night.

New Portland coach Maurice Cheeks earned his first NBA preseason victory in three tries.

Stoudamire made 10 of 15 shots as the Blazers outscored Sacramento 20-6 down the stretch.

Dale Davis added 19 points, his most since joining the Blazers before last season, and Ruben Patterson had 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Steve Kerr, traded from San Antonio in the Steve Smith deal, added 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Peja Stojakovic scored 18 points to lead the Kings.

The Blazers shot under 42 percent in exhibition losses to Memphis and Utah, but improved to 53 percent Friday night.
