RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 12 (AP) -- Mike Miller scored 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter as the Orlando Magic beat the Charlotte Hornets 91-85 Friday night in an NBA exhibition game.

Tracy McGrady added 17 points for the Magic, and Grant Hill scored 15.

"I had a spring in my legs," said Hill, who played only four games last season. "I was pushing the ball good up the court. Am I where I need to be? No. But every day it's getting better."

Hill signed as a free agent with the Magic last summer, but was limited by two ankle operations.

Lee Nailon led Charlotte with 14 points, while Elden Campbell and Baron Davis each scored 10.

The Hornets built a 47-43 halftime lead on 10 points from Nailon, who made five of eight shots.

Orlando hit three of its first four shots of the second half to take the lead for good.

The Hornets were still close midway through the fourth quarter before Miller scored six points in an 8-0 Orlando run that gave the Magic an 82-71 lead.
