AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 9 (AP) -- Jerry Stackhouse scored 20 points and Ben Wallace had 10 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-77 Tuesday night in the exhibition opener for both teams.

Chucky Atkins and Jon Barry each added 12 points for the Pistons, who limited the Cavaliers to 50 points on 23.9 percent shooting through three quarters.

Andre Miller led Cleveland with 17 points, including 13 from the line. Chris Mihm also scored 13 for the Cavaliers.

Rodney White, the eighth overall pick in the draft, had 10 points and six rebounds for Detroit. Cleveland's DeSagana Diop, picked ninth overall, was sidelined with a foot injury.

Detroit scored the first six points and led 27-14 after one quarter. The Pistons pushed their lead to 41-30 by halftime and led by as many as 32 points in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland shot 22.7 percent in the first half and was slowed by 10 turnovers. Detroit shot 35.2 percent and had four turnovers in the first half.

The Pistons play host to Michael Jordan and the Washington Wizards on Thursday.
