Paul Pierce:
On his knee injury and how he’s feeling today:
Well, I did a lot of ice and stim(ulation) throughout the day yesterday. Swelling is down a little. Still some stiffness, can't quite all the way bend it like I want to, but it's definitely a step forward from yesterday.
So continue to do the things I'm doing, ice, stim, rest, probably some laser treatment throughout the day today, tomorrow throughout the day, and should be ready to go tomorrow.
On whether he expects to play tomorrow:
Definitely.
On his plans for practice:
Probably won't practice today, walk through some things, shoot some free throws. I don't have any plans to risk further injury. That's about it, just do a lot of treatments, walk through some things and see how it feels tomorrow at shootaround.
Doc Rivers:
On Pierce and Perkins’ injuries:
Perk is out today for sure. Neither one of them are going to practice today. Paul will be able to go through the walk through portion of practice. Perk basically can't do anything for practice. We'll just wait until tomorrow.
On tomorrow’s availability:
Really, I don't know yet. I anticipate them both playing, but I just don't know yet. I think they'll both play. I don't know how effective either one will be. They may be very effective. Paul is moving much better today, that's clear. And so of the two, he's the guy I'm more optimistic about, just from watching him move around and walk around.
If we played today, could either one of them play? It would be dicey, but I think they could.
Kendrick Perkins:
On his high ankle sprain:
I’m getting treatment, getting a whole lot better. I’m going see how it feels at practice. Our trainers have been doing a good job so I’ve been feeling a whole lot better.
Overnight there was a big change, still a little bit aching, but it’s all right. I was about 60 percent yesterday, today about 80.
On what it would be on a scale of 1 to 10:
About a six or seven.
On previous ankle injuries:
I’ve sprained my ankle a few times, not a high ankle sprain like this, but I’ll fight through it. Hoping to be 100 percent tomorrow, or at least 90.
On what he’s most limited in:
Jumping, a little on change of direction too.
