Miami’s O’Neal and Heat Organization Fined
DALLAS, June 12 -- Miami Heat center Shaquille O’Neal has been fined $10,000 for failing to make himself available to the media following Miami’s 99-85 loss to Dallas at Game 2 of the 2006 NBA Finals at American Airlines Center. In addition, the Miami Heat organization has been fined $25,000 for failing to ensure that its players comply with NBA media interview rules.
The fines were announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations.
