June 12 - Bienvenidos a Miami.

Think positive.

On the bright side, I didn't pick DeSagana Diop, Keith Van Horn, Alonzo Mourning or Gary Payton on Thursday.

These are the only players we have not picked yet for the Drive to the Finals playoff fantasy game who put up worse fantasy numbers than Udonis Haslem, the player I chose.

The hope was that Sunday would turn out much better, but my expectations were limited. Look, I chose James Posey for a reason. I wasn't expecting 30 PRA. He wasn't going to save the Experts' collective day.

I just needed the guy to be ok. I needed him to hold the ball while Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade tied their shoes.

Posey did... ok. I'm not going to get carried away with this. Whether he put up a three or a 15 PRA, it doesn't really matter. I was just hoping for a warm body out there.

The other positive? Although it may appear at first glance that our strategy imploded in the Finals, I am very satisfied with the fact that we have yet to use either Shaq or Wade. Shaq in particular has played well below his playoff average, so the expectation that he and Wade will perform better in front of the home folks could still come to fruition.

Oh, yeah, wanna know my pick? It's Dwyane Wade. We waited this one out. We waited when the Bulls gave them a scare. We waited when they went into the series with Detroit as significant underdogs. We waited when we were desperate for points opening the Finals.

No more messing around.

Here's an interesting stat for you. Throughout this year's NBA Playoffs, Dwyane Wade's two biggest games have come in Game 3 match-ups. With the series evened up against both the Pistons and Nets, Wade went out and took over, notching a 47 PRA in each game.

That's all you need to know, right? Forget about the 34 PRA he dropped on the Bulls in that Game 3. We focus on the positive.

I expect a memorable moment out of Wade on Tuesday night. A Jordan moment. A Kobe moment. A Bird moment. The Heat need -- dare I say -- a Wade moment, and they need it badly.

It's becoming quite clear that Shaq's free throw touch isn't returning any time soon, so the Heat need their biggest star to put up his biggest game on the biggest stage while in front of his biggest fans. It's big.

His bumps have had time to heal. His illness has had time to subside. He's shaken any early series jitters.

It's on, and Wade is our man.
