Minnesota trailed by four but had the ball with 90 seconds to go Friday. Plenty of time to pull out a home win, right? Wrong, said Shaquille O'Neal and Derek Fisher in the form of back-to-back Crunch Time gems that sealed a 97-88 Lakers win. O'Neal capped a dominant performance with a block of Kevin Garnett's layup try, and Fisher hit a 3-pointer the other way to give L.A. a 95-88 lead with 58 seconds left.
Shaq denies, then Fish applies the hammer:

Miller's big bucket helped him earn nine Nestlé Crunch Time Points.

Five Richard Hamilton free throws and one spectacular Tayshaun Prince block sealed Detroit's 72-67 series-tying win. Indiana's Reggie Miller had a breakaway scoring chance that could've tied the game when Prince swooped in with 17 seconds left and notched the most important of the Pistons' 19 blocks. Hamilton and Prince tallied 10 and five Crunch Time Points, respectively.

Minnesota's 16-point lead dwindled to six late in the fourth quarter and momentum was on Los Angeles' side ... until Fred Hoiberg reclaimed it. With 2˝ minutes left, Hoiberg made a move, absorbed a knock on the head from Kobe Bryant and swished a jumper to end the Lakers' 10-0 run. Hoiberg hit the ensuing free throw and Minnesota was able to hang on for a 98-96 win in Game 5 of the West finals.

When things got tight for Detroit down the stretch, Tayshaun Prince stepped up. After Indiana cut the deficit to two, Prince blocked Anthony Johnson's layup attempt with 1:34 to go and nailed a jumper of his own 48 ticks later to seal the Pistons' 69-65 Game 6 win Tuesday, which sent Detroit to NBA Finals 2004. For his royal efforts, Prince received seven Crunch Time points.
