Which players are the most efficient in the NBA? Which players are the best fantasy players in the league?
NBA.com evaluated all players in 2001-02 by position based on the following efficiency formula, the same one used in Virtual GM: ((Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks) - ((Field Goals Att. - Field Goals Made) + (Free Throws Att. - Free Throws Made) + Turnovers)) / Games Played
And what did we find out about the forwards?
Minnesota's Kevin Garnett and San Antonio's Tim Duncan ranked as the most efficient small and power forwards, respectively, in the NBA last season.
Phoenix small forward Shawn Marion scored 19.1 points per game, only 0.3 ppg less than New York's Latrell Sprewell, yet had a notably better efficiency average (E.A.): 22.6 to 14.4
Memphis rookie Pau Gasol ranked as the seventh most efficient small forward, ahead of notables such as Sacramento's Predrag Stojakovic and Washington's Michael Jordan.
And new in 2002-03, NBA.com will track the league leaders in efficiency in the daily statistics .

Garnett (22.1 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg, .470 FG% and .801 FT%) ranked as the most efficient small forward in 2001-02.
