Denzel Washington, American Gangster (Everything but the fur coat!)
The teens from Superbad
Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd and Pirates of the Caribbean
The kick-ass Spartans in 300
... AND THE BOOMSCAR GOES TO: Denzel Washington
The dude is fly in that movie. Every guy wants to be Denzel.
Traditional category: Best Documentary Feature
No End in Sight (Magnolia Pictures) A Representational Pictures Production: Charles Ferguson and Audrey Marrs
Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience (The Documentary Group) A Documentary Group Production: Richard E. Robbins
Sicko (Lionsgate and The Weinstein Company) A Dog Eat Dog Films Production: Michael Moore and Meghan O'Hara
Taxi to the Dark Side (THINKFilm) An X-Ray Production: Alex Gibney and Eva Orner
War/Dance (THINKFilm) A Shine Global and Fine Films Production: Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine
... AND THE BOOMSCAR GOES TO: Made in America (my film with Stacy Peralta that just premiered at Sundance). LOL. Just Kidding. I’ll admit I haven’t seen all of the films in this category, so I have to give it to Sicko. Michael Moore is an investigative genius and covers all of his bases when making a film. He really makes you think.
BOOMSCAR Original: Best Movie to Go Into An Air-Conditioned Theater for a Nice Two-Hour Nap
We Own The Night (Eva Mendes, Joaquin Phoenix)
I Know Who Killed Me (Lindsay Lohan)
Evan Almighty (Steve Carell)
The Number 23 (Sorry, Jim Carrey)
... AND THE BOOMSCAR GOES TO: We Own The Night
It wasn’t that bad when I saw it on DVD. But in the movie theater you could watch the first 15 minutes, sleep and watch the last 15 minutes and you knew what happened.

What can I say? It’s a Pixar film. The music makes you feel good and totally impacts the movie experience.
