From being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week to meeting with fans and members of the U.S. military at the NBA Store, it's been a wild week for New Jersey newcomer Vince Carter. Here's a quick look at what Carter's been up to lately, along with a video highlight of a play that has to be seen to be believed.

In being named East Player of the Week, Carter led the Nets to a 3-1 record and averaged 25.0 points, 7.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds over the four-game stretch. Carter also lived up to his "Half Man-Half Amazing" nickname with this incredible, spinning 360 layup against the Lakers.

On Monday at the NBA Store in New York, Carter met with members of the military and some 25 children from the Teaneck Armory in Teaneck, N.J. Each of the children Carter met with has a parent who is currently deployed in Iraq.

While at the NBA Store, Carter also chatted with NBA TV's Rick Kamla. Now Carter will wait to see whether he'll be named a starter in the 2005 All-Star Game. As of Jan. 20, Carter was leading all Eastern Conference forwards in balloting. The All-Star starters will be announced Thursday night on TNT.
