April 18 -- Let NBA.com's Nifty Numbers help take the guess work out of the playoff chase and division championship races.

Well, we have one spot open and one night of the regular season to go. If Golden State beats Portland, the Warriors are in. If the Clippers lose to the Hornets, the Warriors are in. If the Clippers win and the Warriors lose, the Clippers are in because of their better division record (8-8) than the Warriors (6-10).

Back in the East, Chicago sews up the No. 2 seed with a win over New Jersey. A Bulls loss and a Cavs win seals the No. 2 seed for Cleveland. The sixth, seventh and eighth seeds are still to be settled, with the Nets, Wizards and Magic all having the chance to finish 40-42. If that happens, the Nets stay at No. 6, the Magic move to No. 7 and the Wizards move to No. 8. If the Wizards win and the Nets lose, the Wizards will be the sixth seed. If the Wizards win, the Nets lose and Magic win, the Nets will fall no lower than the No. 7 seed by virtue of their better conference record.

One night, five games, a lot on the line.

Note: A "P" under Current Playoff Seeding does not mean the team has clinched that specific seed, but rather been assured a playoff berth.
