Jared Dudley: DNP Saturday
Update: Dudley was a DNP-CD Saturday night in Charlotte's victory over Cleveland.
Analysis: Dudley had started the past two games and, other than a scoreless effort in Charlotte's previous game, has played well when given good playing time.
Willie Green: Nice Shooting Night Saturday
Update: Green had 18 points (8-10 FG, 2-2 FT) and two steals in Saturday night's win over the Knicks.
Analysis: Green amazingly had 18 points in just 20 minutes. The 76ers were up big by the start of the fourth quarter so his game stats could have been much better if he was needed to play more.
Emeka Okafor: More Shots
Update: Okafor scored 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor and 7-of-14 from the free-throw line Saturday night in Charlotte's victory over Cleveland.
Analysis: Bobcats coach Sam Vincent wants Okafor to be more aggressive on the offensive end and look for his shot. Okafor has taken at least 10 shots in six of Charlotte's seven wins. Of course, feeding him the ball more often leads to potential trips to the line for the career 60-percent free-throw shooter.
Ryan Hollins: Returns to Action Saturday
Update: Hollins returned to action Saturday night after missing five games with a shoulder injury.
Analysis: Hollins had four points, one rebound and four fouls in eight minutes. If he can avoid the foul trouble, he could get 15-20 minutes a night as Emeka Okafor's primary backup.
Tyronn Lue: Could Miss Two Weeks
Update: Hawks coach Mike Woodson said Lue (calf) could miss the next two weeks, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Lue has missed three straight games with a strained left calf.
Thaddeus Young: Has His Best Game As a Pro Saturday
Update: Young had his best game as a pro Saturday night in a win over the Knicks finishing with 14 points (7-9 FG) and five rebounds in 19 minutes.
Analysis: Young hasn't seen much action to this point of the season but had a chance to display his talents with the 76ers up big by the start of the fourth quarter. He may have earned some extra minutes with this performance but has a ways to go to earn respect with fantasy owners.
Shavlik Randolph: Returns to the Court
Update: Randolph (left ankle) played in a game for the first time since last season in Saturday night's win over the Knicks. He went 0-of-2 from the floor in three minutes of action.
Analysis: Randolph saw game action because the game was well out of hand by the start of the fourth quarter. He isn't likely to play more than 15-20 minutes in a game this season.
Andre Iguodala: Big Game Saturday Over the Knicks
Update: Iguodala had 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3PT, 2-3 FT), nine assists, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks in Saturday night's win over the Knicks.
Analysis: Iguodala had a big game while not playing much of the fourth quarter. When the 76ers are winning, Iguodala is usually the reason so fantasy owners have to hope the team improves around him.
Josh Howard: Career High 47 Points on Saturday
Update: Howard exploded for a career-high 47 points (14-for-19 from the field and 15-for-17 from the line) in Saturday's win over Utah.
Analysis: Howard also chipped in four 3-pointers and ten rebounds for good measure. He entered the night averaging 21.0 points per game.
Kevin Ollie: Plays For the First Time in Weeks
Update: Ollie played five minutes in Saturday night's win over the Knicks. It was his first game action since November 24th.
Analysis: Ollie had just one assist in the game and only saw action because the 76ers had a huge lead in the fourth quarter.
Steve Nash: 15 More Assists
Update: Nash recorded his fourth consecutive double-double on Saturday scoring 14 points and handing out 15 assists in a loss to Minnesota.
Analysis: Nash has been on an assists tear of late and is averaging 16.3 assists per game over his last six games.
Al Jefferson: Explodes for 32 Points and 20 Rebounds on Saturday
Update: Jefferson scored a season-high 32 points and pulled down a season-high 20 rebounds in Saturday's win over Phoenix.
Analysis: A huge game for Jefferson who shot 13-for-26 from the field and played a team-high 42 minutes.
Gerald Wallace: Stuffs The Stat Sheet on Saturday
Update: Wallace had a great all-around game on Saturday with 22 points, seven rebounds, five blocks and four steals in a win over Cleveland.
Analysis: The five blocks were a season-high for Wallace who entered the night averaging 18.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and only 0.8 blocks per game.
Larry Hughes: Back In Action After Missing Eleven Games
Update: Hughes (leg) returned to action on Saturday after missing 11 games and scored 22 points (6-for-17 shooting from the field) in 26 minutes of play.
Analysis: Hughes took a team-high 17 shot attempts but did shoot 8-for-9 from the line and record two steals. It looks safe to put him back in your lineup.
Stephon Marbury: Struggles Again on Saturday
Update: After playing only 13 minutes on Friday, Marbury played 24 minutes on Saturday scoring six points in a loss to Philadelphia.
Analysis: The Knicks lost at home by 28 points on Saturday so all of the starter's minutes were cut back. Marbury has only scored eight points in his last two games combined since returning to the court after his father's funeral.
Zach Randolph: Only Plays 14 Minutes on Saturday
Update: Randolph was held to two points and two rebounds in 14 minutes of play on Saturday.
Analysis: Randolph, who entered the night averaging 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, only took three shots and sat out most of the second half due to the game being a blowout. Look for him to bounce back on Monday against Dallas.
Josh Childress: Hopes to Play on Monday
Update: Childress did not dress for Saturday's game against Memphis but hopes to play in Monday's game against Orlando, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: This is the first full game Childress has missed due to the injury.
Andre Miller: Double-Double on Saturday
Update: Miller scored 11 points and handed out 10 assists in Saturday's win over the Knicks.
Analysis: Miller, who also had three steals, has recorded ten or more assists in each of his last three games.
Kyle Lowry: 31 Minutes Off The Bench On Saturday
Update: Lowry didn't start, but played 31 minutes on Saturday scoring 15 points in a loss to Atlanta.
Analysis: Starter Damon Stoudamire (16 minutes) was still affected by the flu so Lowry played over 30 minutes for the second consecutive game. Stoudamire should be close to 100% for the Grizzlies next game on Tuesday but Lowry could be worth a look if his strong play continues.
Damon Stoudamire: Starts But Only Plays 16 Minutes on Saturday
Update: Stoudamire (flu) started on Saturday but was held scoreless in 16 minutes of action.
Analysis: Stoudamire, who missed Friday's game with the flu, was obviously not 100%. Memphis doesn't play again until Tuesday so he should be good to go by then.
Bobby Simmons: Out for Personal Reasons
Update: Simmons was not at Friday's game against Seattle due to personal reasons, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis: It was not known why Simmons was missing from the team or when he would return.
David Noel: Sprained Right Wrist
Update: Noel will miss the next four to six weeks with a sprained right wrist Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis: It looks like Noel will not need surgery. He will be re-evaluated after six weeks.
Kevin Durant: Looking More Comfortable
Update: Durant had 35 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in Seattle's win over Milwaukee on Friday.
Analysis: Durant tied his season highs for points and rebounds, and set a season high in blocks. For fantasy owners, hopefully this is sign that he is becoming more comfortable after struggling at times to start the year. Durant was excellent from the free throw line, making 15-of-16.
Calvin Booth: No Game Action In Weeks
Update: Booth has not seen game action since November 20th and isn't likely to hit the court any time soon.
Analysis: Booth is a reserve and a body to have on the 76ers roster in case of major injury so he should not be anywhere close to fantasy rosters.
Michael Redd: Solid Shooting Leads to Big Night
Update: Redd scored a season-high 41 points Milwaukee's loss to Seattle on Friday.
Analysis: Redd is ninth in the league in scoring, averaging 24.3 points per game, and has proved that on any given night he can explode. Redd shot well, making four-of-eight from 3-point range, and was once again stellar from the free throw line, hitting 13-of-14.
Kyle Korver: Perfect From Beyond the Arc Friday
Update: Korver had nine points and three rebounds in 24 minutes Friday night in a win over the Knicks.
Analysis: In his previous four games, Korver was 1 for 15 from beyond the arc. Friday night, he hit all three of his three-point shots, which accounted for his nine points. Fantasy owners are hoping he returns to form sooner rather than later but Korver has definitely lost some playing time off the bench to Louis Willaims.
Baron Davis: Comes Up Big in Comeback
Update: Davis had 25 points, seven assists and four steals in Golden State's win over Miami on Friday.
Analysis: Davis scored 13 points in the fourth quarter in leading the Warriors to a comeback win. Davis has no problem putting the team on his shoulders, and is one of the league's elite point guards when he's healthy. His 23.2 points per game are on pace for a career high.
Dwyane Wade: Heating Up as Health Improves
Update: Wade scored 33 points and had 10 assists, clocking 45 minutes in Miami's loss to Golden State on Friday.
Analysis: Wade has played every game since returning to action on November 15th. Notching his third double-double in three games, Wade appears to be slowly regaining the explosiveness that made him one of the best players in the league before knee and shoulder injuries. Wade's 33 points was a season high.
Troy Murphy: Returns to Action
Update: Murphy had 12 points and six rebounds in the Pacers' win over the Magic on Friday.
Analysis: Murphy returned to the floor after sitting against Phoenix on Tuesday, playing 18 minutes while coming off the bench for Jeff Foster. Murphy gives the Pacers another 3-point shooter off the bench, but likely won't see enough consistent minutes to warrant returning him to your lineup, at least not yet.
Carlos Boozer: Dominates in Loss
Update: Boozer had 28 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and two steals in Utah's loss to San Antonio on Friday.
Analysis: Boozer didn't appear too bothered by his ankle injury, making 12-of-23 from the floor and dominating the boards. Boozer is having his best season to date, averaging a career-high 25.1 points per game.
Deron Williams: Returns to Forms
Update: Williams had 28 points and 10 assists in Utah's loss to San Antonio on Friday.
Analysis: Williams has played like one of the game's elite point guards this season, averaging 20.3 points per game on an excellent 51.9 percent shooting with 9.0 assists.
Theo Ratliff: No Timetable For Return
Update: Ratliff (knee) hasn't started to practice and there's no timetable for his return, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: Ratliff is going to try and rehab his injury and avoid arthroscopic surgery. We have our doubts whether he'll be able to return for at least several weeks and probably much longer.
Antoine Walker: Doutbful For Saturday's Game
Update: Walker (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Phoenix, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: He missed Friday's game with the injury and it looks like he may be out a few more games.
Reggie Evans: First Double-Double of the Season Friday
Update: Evans had his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds in Friday night's win over the Knicks.
Analysis: Evans has been rebounding well but hasn't shown much offense to this point. Friday night he shot 5-of-8 from the floor in 32 minutes. Don't expect too many games of double-digit scoring from him though.
Randy Foye: Knee Feeling Better
Update: Foye (knee) has been running and even dunked a basketball and feels he'll be cleared to resume practice when examined by doctors on Monday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Foye is recovering from a stress reaction in his left knee cap. If cleared on Monday, he'd still probably need at least a week to get back into shape before returning to a game.
Bonzi Wells: Scores Just Five Points
Update: Wells had just five points on 2-of-9 shooting in 31 minutes Friday. He did have eight rebounds and four steals, though.
Analysis: As long as Wells is seeing 25-30 minutes, he's going to be a viable player in deeper leagues.
Ronny Turiaf: Expected to Play Sunday
Update: Turiaf (concussion) is expected to play Sunday against the Warriors, according to the Los Angeles Tims.
Analysis: Turiaf has missed two games with a concussion, and may be eased back into the Laker lineup.
Kobe Bryant: Expected to Play Sunday
Update: Bryant (shoulder) is expected to play Sunday, but told hte Los Angeles Times that he feels "very lucky" that his shoulder injury wasn't more serious.
Analysis: "It's not something that structurally is going to get any worse. It's just try to maintain the pain level down as much as possible so Sunday I'm playing with less pain than what I'm feeling now," Bryant noted. Bryant could be somewhat limited against the Warriors this week, as it appears he's still feeling pain in the shoulder.
Eddie House: Scores 13 Against Raptors
Update: House had 13 points, including 3-6 shooting from three-point range, in the Celtics' 112-84 win over the Raptors on Friday night.
Analysis: Another solid scoring performance from House, who may pick up minutes soon while Ray Allen is struggling.
Ray Allen: Shoots 0-5 From Three Against Raptors
Update: Allen had 13 points while missing all five of his three-pointers in the Celtics' 112-84 win over the Raptors on Friday night.
Analysis: Allen continues to struggle shooting this year, and his 34% three-point percentage is six points below his career mark.
James Posey: Posts Double-Double Against Raptors
Update: Posey had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Celtics' 112-84 win over the Raptors on Friday night.
Analysis: Much of Posey's contributions came in garbage time, so don't expect him to put up these type of numbers every night.
Nick Collison: Team Wants More Shots
Update: Collison, who attempted just five shots Friday, is being encouraged to shoot more, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: "He has the ability to shoot the ball," coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "He just has to take that next step and do it consistently in the game." Carlesimo wants Collison to show more confidence in his midrange game and take the 17-footers when he's open. Collison was 4-of-5 Friday with 12 points and eight rebounds. He's shooting 49.2 percent from the field this season and averaging 7.6 shots a game. If he could increase the latter number to 10-12 then his fantasy value would improve.
DeShawn Stevenson: Just Two Points Friday
Update: Stevenson scored two points (on 1-of-5 shooting) and added two assists in 18 minutes of action in Friday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: Stevenson remains in the starting lineup, but his scoring has been too inconsistent and not prolific enough to merit fantasy consideration except in deep leagues.
Brendan Haywood: 14 Points Friday
Update: Haywood scored 14 points (on 6-of-8 shooting) and added two rebounds in 20 minutes of action in Friday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: Haywood has combined for 31 points over his last two games, but he could continue to face competition for minutes from Andray Blatche, who put up a 19/10 effort in 26 minutes Friday.
Andray Blatche: Strong Effort in Friday's Loss
Update: Blatche scored 19 points (on 8-of-15 shooting) and added 10 rebounds in 26 minutes of action in Friday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: The Wizards also got solid production from Brendan Haywood, who bagged 14 points in 20 minutes. It's games like this that provide us with optimism that Blatche has the upside to be a fantasy factor at some point this season. Consistent playing time (and Haywood is his prime obstacle on that front) is all that's missing.
Ron Artest: Admits to a Bad Game
Update: Artest scored 21 points (8-of-22 FG, 4-of-6 FT, 1-of-5 3-PT) with three rebounds and two blocks in Sacramento's loss to the Clippers on Friday.
Analysis: "I had a bad game," Artest said. "That loss is definitely on me. There was a lot I could've done tonight to win that game." He forced too many shots and tried to pick up the slack on the perimeter since Kevin Martin (groin) was missing.
Gilbert Arenas: (Knee) Gets in Work on Exercise Bike
Update: Arenas (knee) put in some time on an exercise bike in the Wizards' locker room prior to Friday's game, the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: It was the first time since his Nov. 21 knee surgery that Arenas had been cleared for such rehab work and he said doctors have told him that he's "ahead of schedule." A three-month timetable was estimated from the date of the surgery for his possible return to basketball-related activities.
Mike Bibby: Cast Comes Off
Update: Bibby, who underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb in late October, had the cast on his hand removed Friday, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Bibby must wear a splint for the next four to six weeks. He has yet to play in the regular season.
Robert Horry: Scores First Points of Season
Update: Horry (hamstring) scored his first points of the season on Friday, going 2-of-6 from the floor for six points in San Antonio's victory over Utah.
Analysis: Horry had been unable to play because of a strained hamstring, but returned from the injury earlier this week. After playing just 12 minutes in his first two games, Horry played 15 minutes on Friday.
Al Thornton: Not in the Flow
Update: Thornton played 12 minutes and scored four points on 2-of-6 shooting in the Clippers' win over the Kings on Friday.
Analysis: Thornton, Los Angeles' first-round draft choice in June, definitely has talent, evident the moment he steps on the court. However, his shot selection is spotty and he doesn't appear in sync with the Clips' offense. That won't benefit his playing time.
