Marquis Daniels: Will Stand Trial in December
Update: Daniels's court date has been pushed from Monday to Dec. 10, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Daniels has been charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct stemming from a February bar fight. The Pacers are off on Dec. 10, but have games against the Cavs and Bulls in the following days.
Jamaal Tinsley: Trial Date Pushed Back
Update: Tinsley's trial date has been pushed to December, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: The trial was originally scheduled for this upcoming Monday, but has been pushed back to Dec. 10. He has been indicted on a felony charge of intimidation and misdemeanor charges of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidation stemming from a bar fight in February. He could be out for a while if convicted.
Justin Reed: Charged for Possesion
Update: Reed was released from prison on bail Wednesday after he was arrested Tuesday night on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: He faces a fine of $100-$250, but could face additional punishment from the league.
Nene Hilario: Appears OK
Update: Nene (strained calf) was walking normally on Tuesday, the Denver Post reports.
Analysis: Nene had strained the calf during the FIBA Americas Championships and there was speculation that it could be very serious. The fact that he was up and walking normally on Tuesday was a very good sign for a club that has suffered through an inordinate amount of injuries to key players over the last three years. Head trainer Jim Gillen said there was still no timetable for his return to the court but it doesn't appear that he'll miss significant time with the injury.
Francisco Elson: Elson has successful surgery
Update: Elson had successful surgery over the weekend to repair the blowout fracture of the orbital bone around his left eye, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Analysis: The Spurs' medical staff expects Elson to begin light basketball drills in a week. Barring complications, he should be available for full contact drills when the Spurs open training camp on October 2.
Tony Parker: Parker scores 36 in win over Italy.
Update: Parker scored 36 points in France's win over Italy on Tuesday, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Analysis: France is currently leading Group D after handing the Olympic runner-up it's second loss at the European Championships. Parker had 19 points in the first half, but France trailed by five. Then early in the second half Parker scored 10 straight points to give France the lead for good.
