Ron Artest: Expected to Play
Update: Artest (elbow/knee) is expected to play Tuesday against the Warriors, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Artest looked questionable as of yesterday, but coach Reggie Theus said in the morning shootaround that he expects Artest to play.
Kenny Thomas: Won't Play Tuesday
Update: Thomas (sore right knee) will not play Tuesday against the Warriors, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Several Kings are nursing injuries, so Thomas would have had a chance to log some rare playing time on Tuesday.
Spencer Hawes: Won't Play Tuesday
Update: Hawes (foot) will not play Tuesday against the Warriors, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Hawes is one of four injured players who will be out of commission for the banged-up Kings on Tuesday.
John Salmons: Won't Play Tuesday
Update: Salmons (ankle) will not play Tuesday against the Warriors, the Sacramento Bee reports. He is scheduled to have his ankle X-rayed to determine if there is more damage than originally thought.
Analysis: Look for Francisco Garcia and Quincy Douby to see more minutes than usual.
Udonis Haslem: May Return Tuesday
Update: Haslem (ankle) traveled with the Heat to Milwaukee on Monday and hopes to play in Tuesday night's game, according to the Miami Herald. He tested the ankle Monday, which was sprained in two places, and said he thinks the pain is at a place where he can handle it.
Analysis: If Haslem returns Tuesday, it will end a run of five missed games.
Beno Udrih: Won't Play Tuesday
Update: Udrih will not play Tuesday against the Warriors, the Sacramento Bee reports. Anthony Johnson will likely start in his place.
Analysis: Udrih strained his lower back during Sunday's game against the Raptors. The Kings are pretty banged up at the moment and will likely be without at least four players on Tuesday.
Nick Fazekas: Signs with Clippers ... Again
Update: Fazekas signed a contract with the Clippers on Tuesday that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the season, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: After back-to-back 10-day contracts, Fazekas finally gets at least a little bit of job security. He is averaging a little over nine minutes per game, scoring 2.4 points and grabbing 3.4 rebounds.
Shawn Marion: Possible Return to the Lineup
Update: Marion (back) traveled with the Heat to Milwaukee and hopes to play in Tuesday's game, the Miami Herald reports. Marion did not practice Monday but received treatment on his back and commented that he felt better.
Analysis: There is no guarantee that Marion will be able to play Tuesday, but if he dresses he'll have to play considerable minutes because the Heat are short-handed again.
Andrew Bogut: X-rays are Negative
Update: Bogut (thigh) had X-rays done on Tuesday that showed his injury was just a deep thigh bruise, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis: Bogut will not play in Tuesday's game against the Heat, but expects to return against Cleveland on Saturday.
Jermaine O'Neal: Still Not Ready to Practice
Update: O'Neal (knee) still isn't ready to return to practice and will remain limited in his workouts. "I definitely feel like I'm progressing, but we just want to make sure we're over this and not get back in the game and something comes up. We want to be 100 percent sure," he told the Indianapolis Star reports.
Analysis: Each day that passes without him returning to full practice raises the possibility that O'Neal may be shut down for the season.
David Harrison: Hurts Left Knee
Update: Harrison played only three minutes after suffering a left knee contusion in the first half of Monday's win over the Knicks, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Analysis: He's day to day with the injury.
Chris Webber: Season Could Be Over
Update: Webber is still feeling pain in his left knee making his return this season less and less likely, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Analysis: Webber, who was only averaging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds, has missed seven consecutive games.
Baron Davis: MRI On Finger Shows No Damage
Update: Davis had an MRI taken on his right pinkie finger after jamming it on Saturday, but the results showed no structural damage, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Analysis: Davis practiced on Monday with his ring and pinkie fingers taped together and he expects to play on Tuesday against Sacramento. Start him as you normally would.
Sebastian Telfair: Out At Least Another Week
Update: Telfair (ankle) is not expected to practice until next week at the earliest, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Marko Jaric will continue to get playing time while Telfar is out with Randy Foye moving to point guard.
Delonte West: Turns in Solid Performance
Update: West scored 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting in a losing effort Monday night against the Magic.
Analysis: West played 30 minutes and added six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks to his line. He also went 5-of-5 from the charity stripe.
Wally Szczerbiak: Losing Minutes
Update: Over the last three games, Szczerbiak has averaged a measly nine minutes of action. Monday night's game against the Magic was no better, with Szczerbiak clocking a little over five minutes on the court.
Analysis: Szczerbiak is shooting under 32 percent since joining Cleveland and was 1-of-4 Monday night. He has seen his role reduced quite a bit. It may not get any better with Daniel Gibson returning soon and the re-emergence of Damon Jones.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas: Foul Trouble Henders Performance
Update: Ilgauskas, who was plagued by foul trouble, scored only four points in 29 minutes of play Monday night against Orlando.
Analysis: Usually playing 29-30 minutes is enough to produce solid numbers for Ilgauskas. Monday night was a different story, playing against the quicker Dwight Howard. Ilgauskas managed seven rebounds and three assists, but only shot 2-of-10 from the field.
Tim Thomas: Scoring More as of Late
Update: Thomas scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds during the Clippers' 99-90 loss at Minnesota Monday night.
Analysis: Thomas is currently the second scoring option for Los Angeles. Center Chris Kaman (back) is out indefinitely, while rookie forward Al Thornton has been slowed by a thigh contusion. In his last four games, the power forward is averaging 17.8 points.
LeBron James: Scores 30 in Losing Effort
Update: James scored 30 points Monday against Orlando, though it wasn't enough to lead the Cavaliers to a victory.
Analysis: Going a solid 11-of-22 from the field, James also had nine rebounds and six assists. At this point in the season you know what you are going to get from James. His consistent play should continue down the stretch.
Spencer Hawes: Question Mark Tuesday
Update: Hawes (foot) is questionable Tuesday versus the Warriors.
Analysis: The rookie center strained his left foot in Saturday night's loss at Phoenix.
John Salmons: Iffy Tuesday Versus Warriors
Update: Salmons (ankle) is questionable Tuesday against Golden State.
Analysis: The swingman missed Sunday's game against Toronto with a sore right ankle. Francisco Garcia and Quincy Douby will be the likely candidates to pick up extra minutes in his absence.
Ron Artest: Elbow Giving Him Problems
Update: Artest (elbow) is questionable Tuesday night against Golden State, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Artest, who had bone chips removed from his right elbow in early January, is experiencing stiffness in that area. He is averaging 20 points and ranks fourth in the NBA with 2.28 steals per game.
Ray Allen: Sits Out Monday, Doubtful for Tuesday
Update: Allen (heel) sat out Monday's game against the Spurs and is doubtful for Tuesday's game against Houston, according to the Boston Herald.
Analysis: Expect Allen to return Thursday night against Dallas, and for Sam Cassell to pick up minutes in his absence.
Josh Smith: Getting Back in The Groove
Update: Smith had 17 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the Hawks' win over the Knicks on Monday.
Analysis: This was Smith's fifth solid fantasy game in a row and his owners have to be pleased about the consistency Smith is showing down the stretch.
Joe Johnson: Double-Double in Win
Update: Johnson had 18 points (8-of-20 FG, 1-of-6 3-PT, 1-of-1 FT), four rebounds and 10 assists in the Hawks' win over the Knicks on Monday.
Analysis: Although Johnson's streak of 20-point scoring games was stopped at eight, Johnson still had a productive night for fantasy owners and has been one of the hottest players in the league in March.
Tony Parker: 17 Points in Loss
Update: Parker had 17 points (7-of-14 FG, 1-of-2 3-PT, 2-of-2 FT), five rebounds, eight assists and two steals in the Spurs' loss to the Celtics on Monday.
Analysis: Parker has had a great March despite the Spurs' struggles. He has averaged 19.6 points on 58.1 percent shooting.
Derek Anderson: Team-High 17 Points
Update: Anderson scored a team-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting with three rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes Monday night in Charlotte's loss to Memphis.
Analysis: It looked like the Bobcats ran out of gas in this one as they were playing their third game in four nights on the road. That opened up an opportunity for Anderson, who has been in and out of the lineup this year because of a sore right knee. Don't expect this kind of production from Anderson too much from here on out, especially when the Bobcats are slipping out of playoff contention and their younger players could use the run instead of hobbled veterans.
Manu Ginobili: Back In The Groove
Update: Ginobili had 32 points (10-of-18 FG, 4-of-7 3-PT, 8-of-8 FT) and four rebounds in the Spurs' loss to the Celtics on Monday.
Analysis: Ginobili's offense has started to come back, scoring 54 points in his last two games after being in a three-game slump.
Nazr Mohammed: Back to Bench
Update: Mohammed was replaced in the starting lineup Monday night by Gerald Wallace.
Analysis: Mohammed had six points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in 17 minutes in a loss to the Grizzlies. His production as a starter was inconsistent and largely underwhelming, and we don't expect things to change in a role off the bench.
Gerald Wallace: Returns to Starting Lineup
Update: Wallace returned to the Bobcats' starting lineup Monday night in Charlotte's loss to Memphis.
Analysis: Since coming back from a concussion four games, Wallace had been coming off the bench. And though there was talk about him not playing power forward, that's exactly what he did against the Grizzlies. However, Memphis was using a much smaller lineup with Rudy Gay and Mike Miller in the front court. Wallace had 10 points with seven rebounds in 23 minutes Monday night.
