Kenyon Martin: Hamstring No Problem
Update: Martin had eight points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot in 27 minutes Sunday night in Denver's victory over Philadelphia.
Analysis: Martin has played in three straight games after missing time due to a hamstring injury. Feel free to start him if you normally would.
Royal Ivey: Starts Sunday
Update: Ivey started at shooting guard in place of the injured Michael Redd in Sunday's victory over Charlotte.
Analysis: Ivey had just three points to go along with four assists, two steals, two blocks and one rebound in 36 minutes. Ivey's played a combined 70 minutes in two games without Redd, who could miss the Bucks' next game on Tuesday, but he has very little value in the long term.
Damon Stoudamire: Inactive Again
Update: Stoudamire was inactive Sunday for the third straight game.
Analysis: Ever since coach Marc Iavaroni made the decision to start Mike Conley, Stoudamire has been inactive. He's almost certain to surface on another team later in the year. The only question remaining is will he be in a starting role, or a complementary piece on a playoff contender?
Chris Quinn: Five 3-Pointers in Loss
Update: Quinn scored 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including five 3-pointers in 30 minutes Sunday in Miami's loss to Memphis.
Analysis: The game featured the return of Jason Williams (knee), but Quinn was still the starter. We'll have to see if Quinn remains the starter when Williams is 100 percent, but it looks like Quinn will be part of the rotation from here on out. In three games back after an ankle injury, Quinn has scored a combined 39 points with 11 assists, eight 3-pointers and five steals.
Daequan Cook: Starts Despite Wade's Return
Update: Cook made his second consecutive start Sunday in Miami's loss to Memphis.
Analysis: Cook had nine points on 4-of-11 shooting with five rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes while starting in place of Dwyane Wade (various injuries). Wade returned to action Sunday after missing Friday's game, but came off the bench. Once Wade is ready to resume his normal starting role, Cook will move to the bench.
Anthony Carter: Fifteen Assists
Update: Carter dished out 15 assists to go along with five points, five rebounds, two steals and three blocked shots in 37 minutes Sunday night in Denver's victory over Philadelphia.
Analysis: Carter had two big games (26 assists, 21 points) over the weekend against NBA patsies Minnesota and Philadelphia, but overall has been very mediocre as a starting point guard. One thing worthy of mentioning is that Carter is averaging a career-high 1.62 steals per game and has recorded at least one steal in each of the last seven games.
Charlie Bell: Produces Away From Home
Update: Bell had 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting with six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes Sunday in Milwaukee's road victory over Charlotte.
Analysis: Bell has been getting some playing time because of Michael Redd's injury -- though he came off the bench on Sunday after starting Friday night's game when he went 0-for-6 in front of the home crowd. Bell's very public offseason desire to leave Milwaukee has made him a target of the Bucks fans. Perhaps Sunday's effort can kick start a season that has him shooting just 27.3 percent from the field while averaging nine points less per game off last season's scoring average.
Jake Voskuhl: Sits Out Sunday
Update: Voskuhl sat out Sunday's meeting with Charlotte because of a hip injury.
Analysis: It was the second consecutive game he's missed because of the injury.
Nazr Mohammed: Twelve Rebounds as Reserve
Update: Mohammed had nine points, 12 rebounds and one blocked shot in 22 minutes Sunday in Charlotte's loss to Milwaukee.
Analysis: Mohammed was putting up some big numbers as a starter before coach Sam Vincent moved him to the bench. The production Sunday was his most as a reserve, but keep an eye on him if he gets 30 minutes a game.
Derek Anderson: Sits Out Sunday
Update: Anderson sat out Sunday's game against Milwaukee because of a right knee bruise, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Anderson has been getting a little run lately, but his 13 minutes a game (in last six games) aren't nearly enough to give him value.
Cuttino Mobley: A Near-Empty Box
Update: Mobley shot 4-of-9 and scored nine points in the Clippers' loss to San Antonio Sunday afternoon.
Analysis: Mobley didn't contribute much in the box score beyond points. He added two rebounds and a turnover in 28 uninspiring minutes. Mobley is averaging 11.9 points and shooting below 40 percent since Dec. 1. Keep him out of lineups, especially in Week 11, when Los Angeles plays just two games.
Al Thornton: Scores 17 on World Champs
Update: Thornton scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Clippers' 88-82 loss to the Spurs Sunday afternoon.
Analysis: The rookie shot 8-of-19 from the field and dished out two assists in 40 minutes of work. Keep Thornton reserved in Week 11 because Los Angeles plays just twice. Beyond that, it may be time to consider him in larger fantasy leagues.
Shaquille O'Neal: Dresses, But Doesn't Play
Update: O'Neal (hip) dressed for Sunday's game, but did not enter Miami's loss to Memphis, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: O'Neal has missed five straight games because of left hip bursitis.
Jason Williams: Returns to Action Sunday
Update: Williams (knee) returned to action Sunday after missing five games.
Analysis: Williams came off the bench while Chris Quinn started at point guard. He was scoreless with two rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes.
Dwyane Wade: Returns to Action
Update: Wade (shoulder, finger, knee) returned to action Sunday but did not start, after missing one game due to an assortment of injuries.
Analysis: In addition to soreness resulting from offseason surgeries to his left shoulder and left knee, Wade has a bruised right shoulder and a jammed right pinkie finger. Wade had 18 points on 7-of-20 shooting with nine assists, four steals, three rebounds and a block in 29 minutes off the bench in a loss to Memphis. We'll be watching to see how the injuries respond heading into Miami's next game on Tuesday at Minnesota.
Kevin Durant: Finger No Longer an Issue
Update: Durant (finger) scored a team-high 19 points with six rebounds and three assists Sunday in Seattle's loss to Washington.
Analysis: Durant has played in two straight games after missing last Monday's loss to Philadelphia.
Luke Ridnour: DNP Sunday
Update: Ridnour, who returned to action Thursday night after missing three games because of a quadriceps injury, was a DNP in Sunday's loss to Washington.
Analysis: Ridnour's lost season in Seattle continues.
Tony Parker: Better Shooting Night
Update: Parker had 26 points (10-of-17 FG, 1-of-2 3-PT, 5-of-7 FT) in the Spurs' win over the Clippers on Sunday.
Analysis: Parker had his best shooting game from the floor in a while. He was helped by the presence of Emmanuel Ginobili, as he was able to get several easy fast break baskets.
Manu Ginobili: Back From Injury
Update: Ginobili (left index finger) had 23 points (5-of-12 FG, 1-of-5 3-PT, 12-of-13 FT), five rebounds, a steal and a block in the Spurs' win over the Clippers on Sunday.
Analysis: Ginobili had a little trouble with his long range shooting with his finger but was able to get to the line with ease. He should be back in your fantasy lineup.
Tim Duncan: Bangs Left Knee Late in Win
Update: Duncan had 17 points, 17 rebounds and two steals but injured his left knee late in the Spurs' win over the Clippers on Sunday.
Analysis: The injury did not appear to be too serious as Duncan was able to walk off the court. Duncan continues to do a great job on the boards. We'll keep you posted on Duncan's injury, but we don't expect him to miss any time.
Kosta Perovic: Gets Call From Warriors
Update: Golden State has recalled Perovic from Bakersfield of the NBA Development League.
Analysis: The 7-2 Perovic gives the Warriors some added depth at center. He has some solid skills to go along with his imposing size but at this point doesn't figure to make much of a fantasy splash.
Antonio Daniels: Dishes Out 10 Assists
Update: Daniels (knee) scored 13 points and added 10 assists in 35 minutes of action in Sunday's win over the Sonics.
Analysis: We'll let you know if Daniels suffers any more setbacks, but he seems to be fine despite having tweaked his knee Friday.
Jerry Stackhouse: Misses Sunday's Game
Update: Stackhouse missed his second straight game with a sprained right thumb on Sunday, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Stackhouse, who was fitted with a soft cast, continues to be listed as day-to-day. "Some swelling went down, but his thumb didn't look good," coach Avery Johnson said Sunday.
Andrei Kirilenko: Will be Re-evaluated Monday
Update: Kirilenko, who missed Saturday's game because of a sore lower back, is undergoing daily treatment and will be re-evaluated Monday, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Analysis: This isn't the first time Kirilenko has had back problems. In the 2005-06 season he missed six games with back spasms. The Jazz could bring in a player on a 10-day contract, but coach Jerry Sloan said he wasn't interested in that option. He said the Jazz would prefer to bring up Morris Almond from the D-League or give other players more minutes.
Chris Wilcox: Remains in Seattle
Update: Wilcox (finger), who had been expected to rejoin the Sonics, will remain in Seattle and is not likely to play in the final three games of the team's current road trip, the Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Wilcox dislocated his right pinkie finger during Thursday's loss to Phoenix, prompting his return to Seattle for examination. We suggest sitting him next week.
Antonio Daniels: Minor Knee Tweak
Update: Daniels, who returned to the Wizards' lineup this past Wednesday after missing seven games with a sprained ligament in his right knee, tweaked his knee late in Friday's game, the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: The good news is that Daniels worked out Saturday and will be in the lineup Sunday against Seattle.
Aaron Williams: Could Play on Sunday
Update: Williams (wrist) is probable for Sunday's game versus San Antonio.
Analysis: Williams, a forward-center, sprained his left wrist at practice on Dec. 16 and has not played since.
Jamaal Magloire: Not With Team Saturday
Update: Magloire was not with the Nets for Saturday's victory over Atlanta because of personal reasons, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: When Magloire signed with the Nets during the offseason, we thought it was a good solution to the team's frontcourt problems. Boy, were we wrong. Magloire has played little (12.5 mpg) this season and has been a DNP in 14 of 33 games, including Saturday's excused absence.
Bostjan Nachbar: Double-Digit Scoring
Update: Nachbar scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including four 3-pointers Saturday night in New Jersey's victory over Atlanta.
Analysis: Nachbar has scored in double digits in five of six games since coming back from an ankle injury. He regularly gets 20-plus minutes a night and can score on jumpers or slashes to the hoop. His accuracy is suspect overall, but he's a career 37-percent shooter from 3-point distance and could end up averaging double-digit scoring for the year. Nachbar may not be a nightly fantasy starter, but he's someone to have on your bench.
Gilbert Arenas: Return This Season Probable, But Not a Lock
Update: If Arenas' knee rehab goes well, it's possible that he could be back on the court any time between mid-February and mid-March, the Washington Post reports.
Analysis: That said, from his tone, that's not necessarily a lock, as he recovers from surgery to repair his left meniscus, as well as a microfracture procedure on a non-weight-bearing bone on the side of the knee. "It all depends on how I feel," Arenas said. "I have to protect the rest of my career, too, so I won't jeopardize that for just 15 games if I'm not 100 percent. If it's aching, if I'm out here practicing and it's swelling up then, I'll see you next year."
Marcus Williams: Timing Off
Update: Williams, who has slipped behind Darrell Armstrong on the depth chart, admits his timing is still off, after missing the first 24 games of the season because of a broken foot, the New York Post reports.
Analysis: "The timing and getting comfortable," Williams said when asked about the tough parts. "When you don't do something for 10, 11 weeks it's hard to jump in there." Williams got into Saturday night's win over Atlanta because Armstrong picked up four fouls, but says he's fine with being the team's third point guard.
Nenad Krstic: Back in January?
Update: Nets general manager Rod Thorn believes Krstic (knee) can return to action sometime in January, the New York Post reports.
Analysis: Krstic has been working diligently to rehab his surgically repaired left knee since being shut down in November. "Who knows when he's coming back. He's still a ways away," said Thorn. "He's getting better but he's still not ready to go [although] we're hopeful some time this month."
Richard Jefferson: Hurts Right Knee
Update: Jefferson hurt his right knee during the fourth quarter of Saturday night's victory over Atlanta, but finished the game, the New York Post reports.
Analysis: The Nets will have the knee checked out on Sunday, but Jefferson is saying the knee is fine. "It wasn't anything too bad. We'll check it out [Sunday], see if it swells up," said Jefferson who scored 21 points. "I just kind of jumped in the air and when I came down, my body was twisted but my leg was kind of planted. I'm fine. Luckily it happened with two minutes to go, I didn't have to put too much more force on it . . . It was sore, but you have to fight through that. I'm anticipating it being OK." The Nets are off until Tuesday when the face the Bobcats in Charlotte.
Nate Robinson: Scores 25 Off The Bench
Update: Robinson saw extra run Saturday after Quentin Richardson left with a thigh injury.
Analysis: Robinson scored 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting before fouling out in 32 minutes of action. He also hit five 3-pointers and would be worth fantasy consideration if he ever got consistent playing time.
Jamal Crawford: Injury Not a Problem
Update: Crawford started for New York Saturday after spraining his left shoulder during Friday's loss to San Antonio.
Analysis: Crawford scored nine points in 41 minutes of action. He's been the most consistent Knick this season and is a fine fantasy option.
Luke Jackson: Needs to Relax
Update: Miami coach Pat Riley said Jackson, who is strugglnig with his shot, needs to relax and quit trying so hard, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Since joining the Heat eight games ago, Jackson is 10-of-43 from the field and 2-of-13 from 3-point range. Jackson, who is getting an opportunity to play because of injuries in the Heat's backcourt, has made just 1-of-13 shots in his last two games.
Quentin Richardson: Leaves Game With Injury
Update: Richardson bruised his left thigh in the first half of Saturday's game and did not return, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Richardson has somehow maintained a starting role all season despite averaging just 6.8 points per game on an abysmal 31.5 percent shooting from the floor. He's considered day-to-day and is an unexciting fantasy option.
Tim Thomas: Probable Versus Spurs
Update: Thomas (knee) is probable for Sunday's home game against the Spurs, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: "It (knee) feels pretty good. I'm still not where I really want to be, but I'm good enough to play and that's a good thing. It's not swelling up and it's not sore the next day, so that's a good sign." Thomas has been out with a sprained knee since Dec. 22.
Dwyane Wade: Practices Saturday
Update: Wade (right shoulder, right pinkie finger) practiced on Saturday and may return to action Sunday after missing one game, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Wade missed Friday's game due to overall soreness as he is still dealing with the effects of offseason surgeries on his left shoulder and left knee. He also has a bruised right shoulder, then jammed the finger during a loss to the Bucks last week. "Still day-to-day," he said. "It felt good to a least try to do some stuff today (Saturday)." Daequan Cook started in place of Wade Friday night against Dallas.
Jason Williams: Practices Saturday
Update: Williams (knee) practiced Saturday for the first time in days and will try to play Sunday at Memphis, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Williams has missed five straight games because of the injury.
John Salmons: Full of Bulls and Fouls
Update: Salmons played just 28 minutes and had 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in the Kings' loss at Chicago Saturday.
Analysis: Salmons battled foul trouble in the first quarter, picking up two whistles with less than four minutes ticked off the clock. He finished 6-of-10 from the floor but had seven turnovers. The Kings play four games each during Weeks 12 and 13, so the swingman's fantasy value is still piping hot. When shooting guard Kevin Martin (groin) returns from his injury, Salmons may slide over to small forward and fill the starting spot vacated by Ron Artest, who is recuperating from elbow surgery.
Shaquille O'Neal: Doubtful Sunday
Update: O'Neal (hip) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: O'Neal has missed four straight games because of the injury.
Maurice Ager: Recalled From D-League
Update: The Mavericks recalled Ager from Tulsa of the D-League.
Analysis: He will be available for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves. This likely means Jerry Stackhouse (thumb) will be limited.
Jerry Stackhouse: Day-to-Day
Update: Stackhouse is considered day-to-day with a sprained right thumb, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Stackhouse, who hurt the thumb Friday night against the Heat, will be a game-time decision Sunday at Minnesota.
Erick Dampier: Will Miss Sunday's Game
Update: Dampier will miss Sunday's game at Minnesota because of swelling in his left knee, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Dampier, who injured the knee in a win over Golden State last Wednesday, sat out Friday's game because of it. We suspect DeSagana Diop will start at center for the Mavs.
Malik Allen: Sits Out Saturday
Update: Allen sat out Saturday's game against Atlanta with a back injury, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: Allen, who had a brief run as New Jersey's starting power forward, has played a reserve role lately with the emergence of Josh Boone and Sean Williams. The Nets have two days off before their next game on Tuesday against Charlotte.
Spencer Hawes: Buried on the Bench
Update: Hawes, Sacramento's first-round draft choice in last June's NBA draft, has played just 17 minutes in the past four games.
Analysis: The rookie needs to get up to speed on defense and it appears forward-center Justin Williams may have leapfrogged over Hawes in the playing rotation. Williams' game is predicated on contesting shots in the lane, so Kings coach Reggie Theus has been compelled to call on him more than Hawes with defensive stalwart Ron Artest (elbow) out of action.
Quincy Douby: Heads Downtown in Chicago
Update: Douby scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, during the Kings' loss to Chicago Saturday night.
Analysis: The Kings suited up just 10 healthy players and were playing the second of back-to-back games. Douby's effort was desperately needed after Beno Udrih and John Salmons each played 43 minutes Friday night at Cleveland. The second-year guard totaled 21 minutes and added two rebounds and a turnover to his resume. Although his contribution was unexpected, Douby has little fantasy value with Kevin Martin (groin) and Mike Bibby (thumb) returning soon.
Ron Artest: No Basketball Until Mid-January
Update: Artest (elbow) will not be cleared to begin shooting or dribbling until the middle of January at the earliest, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: The small forward had surgery to remove bone chips in his right elbow last Wednesday and is expected to miss three to four weeks.
Kevin Martin: Will Begin Full Practice
Update: Martin (groin) is scheduled to participate in a full practice Wednesday or Friday, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Analysis: Martin, who has missed 15 games, has begun participating in limited drills. He hoped to return on Jan. 8 versus Orlando according to Kings coach Reggie Theus, but team officials want to play it safe and are likely to hold him out of action until mid-January. Keep Martin reserved in Week 11.
