NBA Jam Van Rolls into Los Angeles for the Western Conference Finals

The NBA Jam Van presented by TBS and TNT, Gatorade, and Nintendo rolls into Los Angeles, CA on Friday, May 24th to join Lakers fans in celebrating a great 2002 season and to support the defending 2001 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. The 67-foot 18-wheeler that transforms into 5,000 square feet of free interactive basketball activities will be part of the pregame festivities at Staples Center.
Fans have the opportunity to show off their skills using three basketball areas with five baskets for free-throw shooting, three-point shooting and slam-dunking. The Jam Van also houses an interactive area where NBA fans can compare themselves to the pros by height, armspan, and shoe size. Lakers fans can compare their hand size to those of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant on the Jam Van’s Get-a-Grip interactive element. A giant video wall will promote the 2002 Western Conference Finals and feature live NBA action. The NBA Jam Van also houses a technology area, which features Nintendo GameCube, NBA video games and access to NBA.com, WNBA.com and NBDL.com.
The NBA Jam Van unites Lakers fans at the center of 2002 Playoff hoopla. NBA “Love It Live” merchandise will also be given away at the festivities.
During the pregame festivities outside the Staples Center on Friday, May 24th, the NBA Jam Van will be teaming up with Nestlé Crunch as part of the Los Angeles Lakers interactive fan area. Five lucky pre-chosen grand prize winners will have the chance to roll away with NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal’s sweet ride, the Shaq 2002 SST SUV as part of the Nestlé Crunch “Pick & Roll Away with Shaq’s 2002 SST SUV” instant win game.
The NBA Jam Van is a touring version of NBA Jam Session, the league’s interactive fan event held during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
