Q: The Celtics attributed a lot of their success to them bonding during their trip to Europe last year. How will your trip to Europe help your brotherhood’s camaraderie?
A: We already have a very close team and a ‘tight’ locker-room, and traveling to a new country and city will help us by creating new team bonding experiences that we will bring back to Washington.
Q: What's the outlook for your team heading into the new season?
A: We want to get back to where we were when Gilbert was in the everyday lineup. It’s our goal not only to make it past the first round of playoffs this year, but to bring the NBA Championship to Washington.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about spending time in the European city you will be playing in?
A: A completely different outlook from what we see day to day in the states. We are eager to see the new sites, sounds, as well as the people.
Q: How will it feel to come all the way to Europe and see fans wearing NBA jerseys and turn out in huge numbers for NBA games?
A: It’s going to be huge! Anyone who is wearing a jersey overseas goes to show you just how much the NBA has grown from being an American game into a global game!
Q: Which personal story comes to mind when you hear “Impossible is Nothing?”
A: The way I entered the league coming right out of High school, as well as Gilbert’s first year where he was unheard of but now he is one of the most recognizable players in the NBA.
Q: I want to make it to the NBA one day, just like you! What should I do?
A: Believe in your dream…that is the most important thing! When I was a little kid I told myself over and over that I was going to play in the NBA, and I believed it when I said it...so I practiced and practiced and always believed in myself.
