NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 2007 – NBA TV will span the globe when the network travels to five cities in four countries to cover both NBA Europe Live presented by EA Sports™ and the NBA China Games 2007 beginning Saturday, Oct. 6. The network will air five Europe Live games and one China Games contest as the NBA prepares to tip off the 2007-08 season.

NBA Europe Live Presented by EA Sports™
NBA Europe Live presented by EA Sports™ will feature four teams – the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies – that will conduct training camps in Europe and will compete against some of the top European teams. The Timberwolves will travel to Istanbul, Turkey, and London, England; the Celtics will be in Rome, Italy and London; the Raptors will be in Rome and Treviso, Italy, and Madrid, Spain; and the Grizzlies will be in Madrid and Malaga, Spain.

NBA TV will tip off its coverage with doubleheader action on Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning with a contest between the Celtics and Raptors in Rome live at 2:30 p.m. ET followed by the Timberwolves against Efes Pilsen from Istanbul on tape delay at 5:30 p.m. ET. Dave Johnson and Tim Capstraw will call the first game, while Rick Kamla and Alaa Abdelnaby will announce the second game. NBA.com will present a live webcast of the Timberwolves-Efes Pilsen game beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

NBA TV will also look back at some early NBA-Europe matchups when it airs four NBA Hardwood Classic games, beginning with a 1987 contest between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Soviet Union National Team, which will air on Friday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.

ESPN2 will provide NBA Europe Live action when the Raptors meet Lottomatica Vitrus in Rome on Sunday, Oct. 7. It will then air the Celtics-Timberwolves game from London on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

In addition to its webcast of the Timberwolves-Efes Pilsen game in Istanbul on Oct. 6, NBA.com will provide extensive coverage of Europe Live, including special content focusing on the Celtics and their recently acquired All-Star Kevin Garnett. The site will also present real-time player blogs, as well as photo galleries featuring retrospectives from past contests between NBA teams and European powerhouses.

NBA China Game 2007
NBA China Games 2007 will feature three games featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Orlando Magic and the Team China All-Stars. The event will tip off on Wednesday, Oct. 17, with a game between the Cavaliers and the Magic in Shanghai at the Qizhong Forest Sports City arena. NBA China Games 2007 will then head to Macao where there will be two games at the new Venetian Arena.

NBA TV will then present the Magic against China on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 8 a.m. ET. On Saturday, Oct. 20, the event will conclude when the Magic meet the Cavaliers in a rematch.
