NBA Europe Live Presented by EA Sports™ Rome

In conjunction with the announcement of NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS™, NBA executives will travel to five European cities in five days to commemorate each city's participation in the event scheduled for October 2006. On Tuesday, December 13, NBA great George Gervin and NBA executive Andrew Messick took part in a press conference in Rome, Italy at City Hall to celebrate Rome's participation. Local city officials including Mayor Walter Veltroni, and team officials from Virtus Lottomatica Roma, one of the event's participating European teams, took part in a ceremonial gift exchange that included personalized jerseys and a signed ball from the Phoenix Suns. In October 2006, the Suns along with three other NBA teams will travel to Europe to conduct training camps and compete against top European basketball clubs.
