NBA Europe Live Presented by EA Sports™ Lyon

In celebration of the announcement for NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS™, NBA executives completed today their tour of five of the participating European cities. After a visit to Rome, Italy on Tuesday, Barcelona, Spain and Cologne, Germany on Wednesday, and Moscow, Russia on Thursday, the NBA contingent visited its final destination Lyon, France. A press conference at the Astroballe arena in Lyon-Villeurbanne commemorated the city's participation in the event and featured NBA Legend George Gervin, the NBA's Andrew Messick, Anthony Thiodet, Executive Director of Adecco ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, Gilles Moreton, President of Adecco ASVEL and Philippe Sauze, Vice President and General Director of EA France. The group exchanged ceremonial gifts, including personalized jerseys and signed balls. Lyon will host the San Antonio Spurs for training camp followed by a game between the Spurs and Adecco ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne at the Astroballe on Oct. 5.The Spurs then travel to Paris for a game against two-time Euroleague Basketball Champions Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv at the Paris-Bercy on Oct. 8. In October 2006, the Spurs along with the Clippers, Suns and 76ers will travel to Europe to conduct training camps and compete against top European basketball clubs.
