NBA Europe Live Presented by EA Sports™ Barcelona

In celebration of the announcement for NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS™, NBA executives this week continued on their tour of five of the participating European cities. After visiting Rome on Tuesday, Dec. 13, the NBA contingent traveled to Barcelona, Spain. The group, including NBA great George Gervin and Andrew Messick, NBA Senior Vice President, International, took part in a local press conference on Wednesday, Dec. 14 with city officials and members of Winterthur FC Barcelona, one of the European teams taking part in the event. The group exchanged ceremonial gifts, including personalized jerseys and a signed ball from the Philadelphia 76ers. In October 2006, the 76ers along with three other NBA teams (Clippers, Suns and Spurs), will travel to Europe to conduct training camps and compete against top European basketball clubs.
