Areas of Strength:
They can score, as always, and now have a backcourt of Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry that will give defenses fits as Curry builds on a very encouraging rookie season of passing to go with the 17.5 points a game.
Needs work:
Everywhere else. The Warriors put up little fight on defense and the boards, though a healthy Andris Biedrins as a potential double-double center will be a rebounding boost.
Two Stats That Matter:
30 -- Warriors ranking in shooting defense and rebounding percentage.
41.4 -- Minutes a game for Ellis, the most in the league.
The Way To Go:
The Warriors are in the early stages of the biggest transition time in the division, with the team for sale in what could become the first step to an overhaul with a new coach and front office. That obviously leads into new players, depending on the desire of the buyer to spend or cut.
