Career Highlights: Named to First Team All-WCC as a senior and junior. Named WCC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Earned Honorable Mention All-WCC honors as a sophomore. Named to the WCC All-Freshman Team as a freshman. One of only two players in school history with 1,000 rebounds. Ranks second in school history with 1,846 career points.

  

Senior (2009-10): Led WCC in scoring (21.5 ppg), rebounds (11.1 rpg) and blocks (2.9 bpg), while also leading team in field-goal percentage (.553). Started all 34 of the team’s games, scoring in double figures 33 times and rebounding in double figures 20 times. Scored a career-high 33 points twice, against Cal Poly and Loyola-Marymount. Scored 32 points on 13-for-16 shooting in an NCAA Tournament win over Villanova. Scored 29 points on 11-for-16 shooting in an NCAA Tournament win over Richmond.

  

Junior (2008-09): Ranked second on team in scoring (14.1 ppg) and rebounds (9.4 rpg), while ranking first in blocks (2.0 bpg) and field-goal percentage (.558). Started all 35 of the team’s games, scoring in double figures 29 times and rebounding in double figures 16 times. Scored a season-high 29 points on 13-for-16 shooting against Eastern Washington. Grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds to go along with 17 points against Southern Illinois.

  

Sophomore (2007-08): Ranked third on team in scoring (10.5 ppg), second in rebounds (7.3 rpg), and second in blocks (1.3 bpg). Started all 32 of the team’s games, scoring in double figures 18 times and rebounding in double figures seven times. Scored a season-high 25 points on 11-for-15 shooting against Cal State Bakersfield. Grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds to go along with 19 points against Seton Hall.

  

Freshman (2006-07): Ranked third on team in scoring (9.2 ppg), second in rebounds (5.6 rpg) and second in blocks (1.5 bpg). Played in all 32 of the team’s games, starting seven of them. Scored a season-high 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting against Gonzaga. Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds twice, against Connecticut and South Florida.

 

Strengths: Center with great size and a strong post game. Has great touch and great instincts in the post offensively. A very good rebounder and an active defender.

 

Personal: Son of Marianne and Hasaan Samhan. Grandfather Daniel Fleming played in the NBA in the 1940’s.
