Career Highlights: Grew up playing for Partizan’s club team until the program for his age group was disbanded. Eventually moved to Austria. Missed most of the 2006-07 season with Arkadia Traiskirchen due to visa issues. Competed for the club in Austria’s Bundesliga in 2007-08. In 2008, signed with KK Crvena Zvezda (also known as Red Star Belgrade) and has spent the last two seasons with the Serbian team. Played for the silver medal-winning Serbian National Team in Eurobasket 2009. Led his team in rebounding on a squad that featured Oklahoma City Thunder center Nenad Krstic and former Golden State Warriors center Kosta Perovic.

  

2009-10: Currently averaging 9.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 25.1 minutes for KK Crvena Zvezda in the Adriatic League through his first 20 appearances of the season. Posted 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting along with nine rebounds, three assists and five steals in just 25 minutes vs. Helios. Totaled 27 points, six rebounds and three assists vs. Siroki Eronet. Recorded 19 points and six assists vs. Hemofarm. Tallied 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes vs. Zadar. In six Serbian A League appearances thus far, is averaging 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.2 steals in 35.5 minutes. Leads the league in scoring in the second stage. Collected 31 points, including 20-of-23 free throw shooting, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks vs. Radnicki Kragujevac. Had 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists vs. Borac. Registered 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists vs. FMP. Had 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists vs. Paritzan. In the Eurocup league, a ULEB competition, is averaging 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 13.9 minutes over 12 contests with three starts. Notched 22 points (7-8 FGs) and six rebounds in 21 minutes vs. Gran Canaria. Had 15 points, six rebounds and six assists at Turk Telekom. Totaled 12 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes at Dynamo Moscow.

  

2008-09: In Adriatic league competition with KK Crvena Zvezda, averaged 4.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 14.3 minutes over 25 contests. Had 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting in 24 minutes vs. Bosna. Recorded nine points in 15 minutes vs. Krka. Totaled six points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in 20 minutes at Bosna. In 11 Serbian A League contests, averaged 4.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18 minutes. In 12 Eurocup games, averaged 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 13.9 minutes. Contributed 12 points in 25 minutes at PGE Turow. Had 10 points (4-5 FGs) and three rebounds in 12 minutes at Azovmash Mariupol. Played in two games for KK Crvena Zvezda in the FIBA EuroChallenge. Posted 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 19.0 minutes. Represented Serbia at the 2009 European Championship for Senior Men, and averaged 2.6 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17.6 minutes over nine games. Serbia fell to a Spain team featuring Pau Gasol in the title match and captured second place. Also helped Serbia’s junior national team win the 2009 World University Games basketball tournament, averaging 7.0 points and 5.7 rebounds.

  

2007-08: With Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions in Austria’s Bundesliga, averaged 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16 minutes per game over 26 contests. Shot .415 from three-point range. Recorded season highs in points (25) and rebounds (10) in 23 minutes vs. Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg, converting 10-of-12 field goal attempts. Had 21 points (7-9 FGs) and six rebounds in 22 minutes vs. Stadt Gussing Knights. Totaled 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists vs. Allianz Swans Gmunden. Posted 14 points in just 13 minutes in a playoff game vs. Kapfenberg Bulls. Broke his leg and returned to Belgrade to rehabilitate.

    

Strengths: Versatile wing player who has seen significant action at point guard on offense. Has a strong understanding of the game and is an excellent passer.

 

Personal: Had to stop playing basketball for four months as a teenager after he and two friends were attacked by a gang following practice and he sustained a broken elbow.
