An early entry candidate for the 2010 NBA Draft. Originally an early entry candidate for the 2009 NBA Draft and participated in the NBA Draft Combine before withdrawing his name from consideration.


Career Highlights: Named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Third Team as a sophomore and junior at Georgia Tech, and was a midseason candidate for the Naismith Award as a junior. A McDonald’s All-American and a Second-Team Parade magazine All-American as a high school senior.


Junior (2009-10): Posted 13.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in just 25.8 minutes per game. Earned Third-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the second straight year. Named Second-Team All-ACC by the Sporting News and First-team All-District 2 by the NABC. Recorded double-doubles in 12 games, and scored in double digits 26 times. Scored more than 20 points in three straight games at the beginning of January, including a season-high 29 at Charlotte. Named ACC Player of the Week Jan. 11 for his 21-point efforts against Georgia and Duke. Went 17-for-20 from the stripe, including his last 12 straight, as Tech held off a rally from Charlotte. Had 17 points and a career-high 18 rebounds at Miami (FL).


Sophomore (2008-09): Averaged 15.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Third-team All-ACC honoree. Led the ACC in offensive rebounds per game (3.6), 10-rebound games (18) and double-doubles (15). Ranked second in the conference in field goal percentage (.556). Tallied a career-best 34 points and 10 rebounds on 15-of-20 shooting against Penn State. Totaled 25 points against Wake Forest and a season-high 17 rebounds vs. Duke.


Freshman (2007-08): Recorded averages of 7.2 points 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 17.3 minutes. Shot  57.0 percent from the field. Had nine double-figure scoring games, including a season-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting in 16 minutes at Indiana. Collected 15 points and six rebounds at Virginia. Registered 12 points in his collegiate debut against UNC Greensboro.


Strengths: Excellent athlete. Productive rebounder who tracks down caroms out of his rebounding position. Finishes around the basket and runs the floor. Active on the interior and gets to the free throw line.


Personal: Carried a 3.8 grade-point average at Norcross High School while taking Advanced Placement and honors courses, and made his school's academic honor roll four years.
