An early entry candidate for the 2010 NBA Draft.
Career Highlights: Made an immediate impact at New Mexico after transferring from the College of Eastern Utah. Was conference’s Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year in his only season at New Mexico.
Junior (2009-10): Was named Third Team All-America by The Associated Press. Mountain West Player of the Year. Became first player in program history lead the team in points, rebounds and assists in the same season. Hobson and Ohio State's Evan Turner were the only players in Div. I to average more than 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists a game. Was first Lobo to exceed 500 points, 300 rebounds and 150 assists in a season. Had 14 double doubles. Had 28 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and three steals in 39 minutes against Air Force. Tallied 20 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists vs. TCU for his 12th double-double of the season. Had 22 points and 15 rebounds in win over Cal.
Sophomore (2008-09): 2008-09 preseason NJCAA First Team All-American at the College of Eastern Utah. Led CEU to a 25-7 record that included a 14-0 start to the season. Averaged 15.2 points and 8.7 rebounds, both tops on the team. Had a season-high 35 points against Western Wyoming and 15 rebounds versus North Idaho College
Freshman (2007-208): Third-Team NJCAA All-American. Led team to 17-15 record. Averaged 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and shot 49.3 percent from the field. Scored 83 points (37 followed by 46) against No. 1 ranked College of Southern Utah. Pulled down 16 rebounds against Colorado Northwest CC.
Strengths: Skilled wing who can play three positions. Very good ballhandler for his size. Has good court vision. Can score in a variety of ways. Sticks his nose in on the glass.
Personal: Nickname is Butter. Has two sisters, Garyn and Ashton. Has a brother named Jeremy Davis.
