An early entry candidate for the 2010 NBA Draft.

 

Career Highlights: Competed in the Jordan Brand Classic as a high school senior. Helped Kentucky reach the Elite Eight as a college freshman.

  

Freshman (2009-10): Played in all 38 games, averaging 3.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. Had 17 games with two or more blocked shots despite averaging just 13.4 minutes on the year. Posted eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks vs. East Tennessee State in the NCAA Tournament. Registered a career-high 14 points and six rebounds vs. Rider. Totaled a career-high nine boards and four blocks on the road at Florida. Contributed five points, five rebounds and two blocks at LSU. Recorded four blocks to go along with six points and five rebounds vs. Arkansas. Scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting vs. Hartford. Swatted four blocked shots in 10 minutes vs. Sam Houston State.

  

High School: Did not compete most of his senior season due to a knee injury. Returned to participate in the 2009 Oklahoma state tournament. Averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots per game as a junior. Participated in the 2009 Wazoo Sports Derby Festival Basketball Classic, where he scored 12 points. Played in the 2009 Jordan Brand Classic. Ranked the third best center and 22nd best recruit overall by Rivals.com.

 

Strengths: Possesses the prototypical NBA body. A difference-maker on the defensive end. Goes after swats and alters shots with just his presence.

 

Personal: Chose Kentucky over Kansas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
