Career Highlights:

A 2008 USA Today, McDonald's and EA Sports All-American as a high school senior. Voted by the coaches as the 2009 Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year following his freshman season at Ohio State. Also named to the conference's All-Freshman team by the coaches.

Freshman (2008-09):

Averaged 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 20.3 minutes per game as an OSU freshman. Started two games. Set a Buckeye freshman record in field goal percentage (.638). Led the Big Ten in field goal percentage (.703), shooting 78-of-111 in league games. Totaled a career-high 19 points and three blocks vs. UNC Asheville. Posted 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting vs. Purdue. Posted 16 points in 22 minutes at Michigan State. Totaled 14 points and eight rebounds vs. Indiana, going 7-of-8 from the field. Scored 11 points. and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds at Northwestern to record his lone double-double on the season.

High School:

Averaged 27.4 points and 15.1 rebounds in his senior season en route to earning the Gatorade and RISE Magazineís Ohio Player of the Year award. Named to the USA Todayís 2008 All-USA boys basketball team and selected as a McDonald's and EA Sports All-American, as well as being named a First-Team Parade All-American and a Jordan Brand All-American Classic selection. In both the McDonald's All-American and the Jordan Classic games, posted 12 points and three rebounds. Set a school record with 62 points in a victory against Our Savior New American (N.Y.).

Strengths: Has tremendous presence and a good sense of where he is on the floor with his back to the basket. Excellent finisher. Solid rebounder and shot-blocker.

Personal: Has five siblings, Gabriel, Tabby, Steve, Danny and Ronald.
