Career Highlights:

Ranks fifth on Boston College’s all-time scoring list (2,099 points). A preseason AP All-America Second Team selection entering his senior year. A three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree.

Senior (2008-09):

An All-ACC Second Team selection. Named Co-Most Outstanding Player of the NABC Hershey’s All-Star Game. Collected USBWA All-District 1 First Team honors and NABC All-District 1 Second Team honors. Started all 33 games in which he appeared, averaging 16.9 points, 5.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals. Posted 29 double figure scoring efforts, including a season-high 28 points against St. John’s. Dished out seven or more assists 10 times. Connected on 10 or more free throws in four games. Tallied 26 points, seven assists, five rebounds and five steals in a win over Georgia Tech.

Junior (2007-08):

An All-ACC First Team selection after starting 30 games and averaging 21.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Garnered All-District 1 First Team honors from the USBWA and the NABC. Tallied double figure scoring efforts 29 times, including 16 games with 20 or more, three games with 30 or more and one game of 40 or more. Dished out six or more assists 15 times. Knocked down eight three-point field goals en route to a career-high 46 points against North Carolina. Paired 32 points with eight assists in a win over Wake Forest.

Sophomore (2006-07):

Started all 33 games, averaging 17.6 points, 5.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds. His 1,208 minutes played were the fourth-highest total in the ACC. An All-ACC Second Team selection. Recorded double-digit scoring efforts 30 times, including 13 games with 20 or more. Scored a season-high 32 in an ACC Tournament win over Miami. Handed out 13 assists in a win over Hartford. In conference games, Rice ranked sixth in scoring, third in assists, second in minutes played.

Freshman (2005-06):

Played in all 36 games, averaging 9.3 points, 2.5 assists and 1.4 rebounds. Selected to the ACC All-Rookie Team. Scored in double figures in 16 games and tallied 20 or more points three times. Posted a season-high 23 points on 6-for-8 shooting from distance at Wake Forest. Opened his college career by collecting Las Vegas Invitational All-Tournament Team honors after posting back-to-back 20-point games for the Eagles.

Strengths: A fearless shooter with unlimited range, equally capable of knocking down shots off screens and off the bounce. A pesky defender with good speed and excellent court awareness.

Personal: Son of Allison Rice. Set a Virginia high school record with 314 made three-point field goals.
