An early entry candidate for the 2009 NBA Draft.

Career Highlights:

Three-year starter who played all frontcourt positions. Played in all 108 games during his three years at Texas. Became the 30th player in program history to reach 1,000 points and ranks 18th on all-time list with 1,306. Is third on Texas rebounding list with 968 and fourth in career double doubles with 37. Is seventh in school history with 123 blocks.

Junior (2008-09):

Averaged 15.4 points and 9.2 rebounds. Named All-Big 12 Second Team. Had 31 double-figure scoring games, 18 double-figure rebounding games and 16 double doubles. Led team with 106 free throws. Had 21 points and 12 rebounds against Oregon. Had 13 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks against UCLA. Had season-best 28 points on a career-high 11 field goals against Texas A&M. Made 12 free throws against Texas Tech. Matched his career-high with 18 rebounds and also had 18 points against Oklahoma State. Had 18 points and nine rebounds against Minnesota in first round of NCAA Tournament. Had 15 points and 10 rebounds against Duke in second round.

Sophomore (2007-08):

Averaged 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds. Was named All-Big 12 Second Team. His rebounding average was second in the conference and 15th in the nation. Led Texas in double doubles with 17. Reached double figures in scoring 26 times and rebounding 20 times. Led the team in rebounds in 33 of 38 games. Had 19 points and 10 rebounds against Texas Southern. Had 19 points, including the game-winning dunk with seven seconds left against UCLA. Had 15 points and 16 rebounds against Michigan State. Had 27 points and 16 rebounds against Missouri. Had career-high six assists against Texas Tech. Pulled down a career-best 18 rebounds against Oklahoma State. Had 16 points and 16 rebounds against Miami in second round of NCAA Tournament.

Freshman (2006-07):

Started all 35 games as freshman, ranking second on the team in rebounding (7.2 rpg), third in blocks (42) and fifth in scoring (7.6 ppg). His 253 rebounds were the third-highest total by a freshman in conference history. Had a streak of 13 straight games with a blocked shot. Had 12 double-figure scoring games. Had his first career double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds in 36 minutes. Had nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks against Kansas State. Scored a season-vest 22 points with nine rebounds and two blocks against Texas A&M. Averaged 10 rebounds per game in Big 12 tournament.

Strengths: Athletic forward with a blue-collar approach. Loves contact. Aggressive and efficient rebounder at both ends. Has improved as a shooter.
