Career Highlights: Earned Honorable Mention All-ACC honors as a sophomore. Also named First Team All-District by the NABC and was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which honors the nation’s top collegiate point guard. Named to the ACC All-Rookie Team as a freshman. Currently ranks fifth all-time in North Carolina in assists per game average (5.4) and 16th in total assists (378).
Sophomore (2007-08): Averaged 12.7 points and a team-high 5.2 assists (ranked third in the ACC). Led the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.36 to 1) and ranked sixth in free throw percentage (.835). Missed seven games and made only brief appearances in two more due to two separate ankle injuries. Scored 20 of more points four times. Recorded three double-doubles. Posted career-high 26 points at Rutgers. Registered a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists at Miami (Fla.). Tallied 16 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and a season-high five steals vs. Nevada. Sank four threes on his way to 16 points vs. North Carolina State. Scored 23 points on 9-for-11 shooting vs. Old Dominion. Notched 21 points, four assists and four steals vs. Mount St. Mary’s in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Recorded 19 points and seven assists vs. Arkansas in the second round. Tallied 11 points and nine assists vs. Louisville in the Regional Finals on his way to earning All-East Regional Team honors.
Freshman (2006-07): Averaged 10.2 points and 5.6 assists (ranked third in the ACC). Led the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.57-to-1). Scored over 20 points twice, recording a season-high 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting at North Carolina State. Registered 14 points and six assists vs. Tennessee in the third place game of the NIT Season Tipoff. Tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists at St. Louis. Scored 13 points vs. Ohio State. Recorded 18 points and eight assists at Arizona. Notched 15 points and a season-high eight rebounds at Duke. Tallied 14 points and eight assists vs. Boston College in the ACC Tournament semifinals. Earned All-ACC Tournament honors. Scored 20 points and dished out eight assists vs. Michigan State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
