Senior (2007-08): Only player to start all 40 games as Kansas claimed the NCAA title. Big 12 All-Defensive Team (coaches, media). Academic All-Big 12 Second Team. Led team with 4.05 assists per game. Recorded at least three assists in 34 games and three-plus steals in 12 contests. Grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds at Iowa State. Scored a season-high 22 points, including 14-of-15 free throws vs. Baylor. His eight steals vs. Yale was one shy of the school record. Dished out a career-best 11 assists vs. Ohio.
Junior (2006-07): Big 12 All-Defensive Team (coaches, media). Named to NCAA West Regional Team. A finalist for Bob Cousy Award. Finished third in Big 12 in steals (1.97 spg) and assist-turnover ratio (2.4), and sixth in assists (4.35 apg). Recorded 11 games of six assists or more. Had 14 games with three-plus steals, including five steals vs. Niagara and UCLA in NCAA Tournament. Named to Las Vegas Invitational All-Tournament team after scoring 10 points vs. Ball State and 12 points with seven rebounds in OT win over No. 1 Florida. Missed one game and another start due to a foot injury in late February.
Sophomore (2005-06): Named to Big 12 All-Defensive Team and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. Team’s third-leading scorer (9.3 ppg). Finished third in Big 12 in steals (2.30 spg), fourth in assists (4.61 apg), second in assist-turnover ratio (2.08) and eighth in free throw percentage (.742). Averaged 7.3 assists in final eight games. Scored a total of 32 points and dished out 22 assists over three games in Big 12 Championship. Posted seven steals vs. Oklahoma State in Big 12 quarterfinals. Scored a career-high 24 points at Texas A&M.
Freshman (2004-05): Named ESPN.com Freshman of the Week (12/18) after scoring four of his seven points in final 28 seconds vs. South Carolina. Recorded 10 points and five assists in 23 minutes vs. Saint Joseph's. Scored a season-high 13 points in just 16 minutes vs. Nevada. Averaged nine points in four games on KU's 4-0 trip in British Columbia, Canada in Fall 2004.
Strengths: A lock-down defender with an outstanding work ethic. Can play both guard spots.
