T-Mobile Inside Look: The Draft Night Experience

Draft day. It's every kid's dream come true. You have worked so hard for so long and the commissioner is about to call your name to be a part of something that so few people can ever achieve. What is that moment like? We asked several players to describe what it's like the moment that their name is called.

Greg Oden: No. 1, Portland Trail Blazers
"It felt different than anything I have ever experienced. It was very exciting. You try to think about how it will feel, but there is no way you can tell until you experience it. I thought I knew how I would feel but it was better than I even imagined. It was a very exciting moment."

Kevin Durant: No. 2, Seattle SuperSonics
"It was one of the best feelings that I have ever had. I actually cried. It was a great time for me and my family."

Al Horford: No. 3, Atlanta Hawks
"Whew, all that pressure just went away. It was something I looked forward to my whole life. To be in this situation at the Garden was a great experience."

Mike Conley, Jr. No. 4, Memphis Grizzlies
"It's a dream come true. It's been a dream since I was a kid and to hear my name picked was a fulfilling experience. I worked so hard though and I felt like I deserved it. I'm so happy to be here."

Acie Law IV: No. 11, Atlanta Hawks
"Dream come true. Coming into the draft, I had no idea where I would go. When pick No. 9 came up, my agent told me that Atlanta would pick me. I feel very blessed."

Rodney Stuckey: No. 15, Detroit Pistons
"Man, it was a stress off my shoulders. I didn't know where I was going to go but all the mock drafts had me going to Detroit, so I kind of expected it. I wanted to go to Detroit. It's a great organization. I'm ready to learn from a great one-two punch in Chauncey Billups and Rip."

Nick Young: No. 16, Washington Wizards
"Something I dreamed about as a kid. I was a little nervous before but when I heard my name called, it was a great feeling. I got called by a great team. I have not heard from Gilbert but I'm sure I will."
