Originally an early entry candidate for the 2004, 2005 and 2006 NBA Drafts before withdrawing his name from consideration each time.
Career Highlights: Signed by the Spanish club Tau Cerámica to a long-term deal in 2000. Was placed on loan to Araba Gorago Alava, in the EBA League, for the 2000-01 season. Moved on to Bilbao Berri for the next two seasons, where he competed in the LEB. Was promoted to Tau Cerámica’s senior team for the 2003-04 season. Former member of the Brazilian Junior National Team and a current member of the Brazilian National Team.
2006-07: With Tau Cerámica in the ACB, averaged 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game. Tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds against Prokom. Contributed 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in Euroleague action. Scored 18 points against Olympiakos.
2005-06: With Tau Cerámica in the ACB, averaged 10.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks in 22.4 minutes a game. Recorded a season-high 21 points twice. Contributed 9.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks in 21.6 minutes in the Euroleague, helping Tau Cerámica reach the semifinals.
2004-05: In his second season with Tau Cerámica, averaged 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.0 minutes a game in the ACB. Posted a career-high 27 points vs. Etosa Alicante. Averaged 8.1 points and 5.2 rebounds in 24.5 minutes in 13 post-season games. Contributed Averaged 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17.8 minutes in the Euroleague.
2003-04: Debuted with Tau Cerámica, which featured Luis Scola, Kornel David, Andrew Betts, Andres Nocioni and Arvydas Macijauskas. Averaged 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.7 minutes a game in ACB action. Increased averages to 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12.9 minutes in eight post-season games. Contributed 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.5 minutes in the Euroleague.
Strengths: Slender power forward with good athleticism. Shows good intensity as a defender and has a knack for blocking shots. Has a fluid mid-range jumpshot.
