An early entry candidate for the 2007 NBA Draft.
Career Highlights: Spent the first two seasons of his pro career with Virtus Bologna. Moved to Fortitudo Bologna in 2003-04 and has been playing there ever since.
(2006-07): Averaged 16.4 points for Bologna in Serie A play, shooting .338 from three-point range. In Euroleague competition, posted 12.9 points on .320 three-point shooting.
(2005-06): Enjoyed an expanded role, and flourished for Bologna, averaging 13.2 points in both the Euroleague and Serie A in 27.9 minutes and 27.7 minutes per game, respectively. Shot .410 percent from three-point range in Serie A and .439 in the Euroleague. Posted an EL season-high 23 points in 25 minutes at Strasbourg. Represented Italy at the FIBA World Championship and scored 25 points vs. the United States in preliminary round play, and averaged 13.5 points per game for the Tournament.
(2004-05): Averaged 4.2 points in 20 games for Bologna in Euroleague competition, shooting .367 from three-point range. Produced 6.5 points per game in 45 Serie A contests, winning an Italian League title and the Italian Cup. At the 2005 Under-20 European Championship, averaged 16.6 points over eight games.
(2003-04): In his first season with Fortitudo Bologna, averaged 4.5 points in 34 SerieA games, shooting .410 from three-point range. In Euroleague play, averaged 3.0 points in 16 appearances. At the 2004 Under-18 European Championship, averaged 16.4 points in the Final Round, 26.2 points in the Challenge Round and 17.6 points in the Qualifying Round. Also participated in the Qualifying Round of the 2004 Under-20 Championship, producing 17.3 points per game for Italy.
(2002-03): Played 16 games in Serie A for Virtus Bologna, averaging 2.6 points, while posting 5.6 points in eight Euroleague appearances.
Strengths: Long and thin with good athleticism. Quick release on his shot. Can penetrate in traffic and get to the basket. Has a high basketball IQ, and the fundamentals to become an impact player. A natural leader.
