Career Highlights: Played two seasons of high school basketball in Memphis, Tennessee at Lausanne High School from 2001-03, as he followed his brother, Grizzlies pivot Pau Gasol, to the United States. Returned to his native Spain and signed with F.C. Barcelona, competing there for the next three seasons. In 2006-07, he joined Spanish outfit Akasvayu Girona. Competed on the Spanish National Team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
(2006-07): Averaged 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in his first season for Akasvayu Girona. Posted 9.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game in the FIBA EuroCup. Earned All-Star honors and posted nine points, four rebounds and three assists.
(2005-06): Averaged 3.1 points in both the Euroleague and the ACB for F.C. Barcelona. Converted 14-of-19 shots in Euroleague play, receiving 7.4 minutes per game in 13 appearances. Competed for Spain at the 2006 FIBA World Championship and averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game over eight contests.
(2004-05): Posted 5.1 points in 16 minutes per game at the ACB level for F.C. Barcelona and 5.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game in the Euroleague. Averaged 16.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks at the 2005 Under-20 European Championship.
(2003-04): In his debut season with F.C. Barcelona, averaged 1.2 points in 6.8 minutes per game in the ACB and 1.4 points in Euroleague play.
Strengths: Good size and strength to operate in the post. Has soft hands and a soft shooting touch.
