Career Highlights: Garnered All-America Honorable Mention from The Associated Press and All-Big 12 First Team honors as a sophomore. A Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection in 2005-06.
Sophomore (2006-07): Scored a career-high 33 points against Missouri and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds against Texas. Recorded three-plus blocks six times and three-plus steals nine times. Wright posted six double-doubles and 11 double-digit rebounding efforts.
Freshman (2005-06): Averaged 8.5 points and 1.27 blocks (eighth-best in the Big 12). Led the Jayhawks in scoring six times and in rebounding seven times. Led Kansas in field goal percentage with a .564 mark. Displayed his versatility by posting 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks against Texas in the Big 12 championship game.
Strengths: An incredible athlete who can play a variety of positions on both ends of the court. A good scorer and rebounder who can block shots and take the defenders off the dribble. Tremendous upside due to great length and a diverse skill set.
Personal: Nickname is Ju-Ju. Lists singing as his greatest talent other than basketball. A McDonald’s High School All-America selection at Homewood-Flossmoor HS (Illinois).
