Career Highlights: Finished seventh all-time at Southern Illinois in scoring (1,667 points) and steals (159), and finished fourth in three-point field goals made (220) and attempted (590).

Senior (2006-07): Named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Named to the MVC All-Tournament Team and the NABC All-District First Team. Finished fifth in the conference in scoring (15.2 ppg). Recorded a career-high six three-pointers in win over Virginia Tech. Had a season-high 29 points at Evansville. Improved three-point shooting from .292 as a junior to .408 as a senior. Sank a game-winning three with 24 seconds left vs. Virginia Tech.

Junior (2005-06): Named to the MVC All-Tournament Team. All-MVC honorable mention and MVC All-Academic First Team. Named CBS Player of the Game in NCAA Tournament vs. West Virginia. Led the Salukis in scoring (15.0 ppg, 4th in MVC) and assists (3.25 apg, 8th). Scored double figures in all but two games. Scored a season-high 37 points vs. Eastern Washington. Hit a game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer at Wichita State to send the contest into OT.

Sophomore (2004-05): All-MVC Second Team selection and First Team Scholar-Athlete. Named MVCís Most Improved Player. Teamís second-leading scorer (12.3 ppg) and averaged 16.2 points in final 10 games. Led the squad with 71 made three-pointers. Named Chevrolet-CBS Player of the Game after scoring 22 points in NCAA Tournament game vs. Oklahoma State.

Freshman (2003-04): MVC All-Freshman Team selection and MBC All-Bench Team. Finished second in the MVC in three-point percentage (.456). His 225 points ranks tenth in scoring by a SIU freshman. Finished fifth on the squad in scoring (7.8 ppg). Recorded a season-high 19 points vs. Drake, including 5-of-7 from behind the arc.

Strengths: Plays with tremendous heart and energy. Has the ability to break down the defense and find an open teammate or pull for a mid-range jumpshot. Solid defender with quick hands. Can also play off the ball.

Personal: Son of James and Patricia Wright-Tatum. Father is a professor at Lincoln College. Mother is the supervisor of the Jefferson City public school system. Majored in speech communications. Has been writing rap songs since he was a teenager.
