Analysis:
Sacramento’s experienced squad failed to make an appearance in the post season. The Kings finished out the year on a 5-17 skid, placing them last in the Pacific Division with a 32-49 record. Kevin Martin had a break-out year leading the team in scoring with 20.2 points per game. On the other hand, Ron Artest brought attention to the team with his several indiscretions. Dissatisfied with the team’s performance, Owners Joe and Galvin Maloof fired head coach Eric Musselman after one year. Sacramento is currently on the hunt for a coach that can revive the franchise.

From The Media:
"As for the first pick, the Kings might be able to add to their front line with the likes of Georgetown center Roy Hibbert or Florida forward Joakim Noah, or maybe expand their point guard contingent should Ohio State's Mike Conley Jr. fall that far.‘I think you can get a good player (at No. 10),' Petrie said. 'Whether you can get a great player ... is hard to say.’”
