Analysis:
The Wolves failed to make the postseason after finishing third in the Northwest Division. A knee injury sidelined Rashad McCants for much of the season. Kevin Garnett led the team in points and rebounds again with 22.4 ppg and 12.8 rpg, but he failed to carry the team above .500. Minnesota relieved head coach Dwyane Casey of his duties midseason and following the completion of the season, they signed interim coach,
Randy Wittman, who compiled a 12-30 record, to a multi-year contract. They should get some help with the seventh overall pick in the 2007 draft, but they've already made a change by
dealing Mike James and Justin Reed to Houston for Juwan Howard on June 14.

From The Media:
"McHale stressed the need to get bigger and taller at the small forward, power forward and center positions. McHale, a former low-post menace for the Boston Celtics, believes in size."
